PostSubject: Resident Evil: Omega   Resident Evil: Omega Icon_minitimeMon Nov 17, 2008 1:13 pm

The wind whipped through the broken structures of buildings that had long ago been destroyed. Temperatures had dropped again to well below -60 farenhiet. It was difficult to keep a fire burning in such cold conditions, but we were doing as well as we could. I was hoping that we could survive the next few days til we reached the old Racoon City limits. Being down here on the surface was complete hell. It wasn't a wonder why long ago it was decided to move the population of the world into the skies. Granted, it was just as cold up thewre were you to go outside, but at least it was a fresh start without frozen ground. My partner sat shivvering by the fire heating up some coffee for us to drink. Why he made enough foir both of us was beyond me. I was a nice whiskey kinda guy. Never a cold night drinking that stuff. I shook my head at him as I cleaned and checked my gun. I loved this gun. A Colt .45 semi-auto pistol. I had it modified to fire .45 magnum rounds and fitted with a laser site. This gun could punch a hole through the block of a ship engine without missing a beat.

"You know Davis, your coffee isn't that good. Why bother making it any how?"

He looked up at me as he poured himself a cup full of the hideous liquid.

"Because it'll at least keep my hands warm for a little bit Devon. Why do you always have to fuck with me all the time?"

I laughed at him. I quickly checked the chamber of my gun and slid a magazine inside making sure there was a round in the hole. I made sure the safety was on and slid it back into the holster on my thigh.

"Because who else do I have to fuck with? They only send you with me. Maybe if I had a new partner from time to time I might fuck with some one else."

Davis took a long swig of his coffe and made a face of disgust before looking at me.

"Thanks, I love ya too Devon. Besides, you know you couldn't tolerate anyone else besides me anyways. The last partner you did have ended up not being able to eat solid food for months. They'll never assign anyone else to work with you."

He laughed at me and I debated getting up and kicking his ass.

"Get some sleep Davis. Got an early start. You'll need the rest when we get to Racoon City. Trust me."

He nodded and pulled his blanket around him, making sure to keep it tightly around his body.

"So why the hell did we get stuck with this shitty job? Whats so god damned important to the agency that they'd send us two misfits down here to recon?"

I looked at the bottle of whiskey in my hand before taking a gulp. I let the heat of the liquor fill up my body before I turned an eye in his direction.

"You don't want to know right now, so don't ask me again. All I'll tell you for now is that we are going to do recon on our own government. They are poking their noses around in something they really shouldn't be. If I'm right, we may have to stay longer to neutralize the situation before they have a chance to ressurect the past. Now go to sleep. Hopefully we'll be at the old mansion by nightfall tomorrow evening. Thats our only way to get into the city unseen. The Marines are guarding any other entrance in or out, so we have to fly under the radar."

I capped my whiskey and leaned back. My right hand slid down to rest on the grip of my gun. If we were to be found, I would be ready. I really didn't want this mission when it was given to me, but there isn't another soul alive who knows the story like I do. Something my family passed down since the very late 1990's. It didn't take long for both of us to fall asleep.

The morning came quicker then either myself or Davis had hoped, and we were on our way. By noon, we were still a good 5 miles from the old Spencer Mansion. For some reason I started to have a tugging at my gut. Almost as if my body was telling me not to go on any further. But I was given a mission, and I would see it through to the end. It was my job. My only concern was to make sure Davis made it back to his wife and children. If need be, I would send him back before anything major happened, and I would stay behind. I began to think about the stories my father had told me about what happened here all those years ago. About the viral outbreak that caused the city to be nuked. And also how I was a descendent from Leon Kennedy. Rookie cop and member of STARS. My thoughts and memories didn't last too much longer. They were stopped by the sound of Davis's voice.

"You know Devon, for as long as we've been partners, you've always told me what the mission was and why we were on it. How come the secrecy now?"

I stepped past him as we came to the edge of a clearing in the Arklay Mountains. And according to the map I had, the Spencer Mansion was just over the next hillside. I turned to Davis.

"Trust me Davis. You don't want to know why we are here just yet. If it comes down to having to tell you, I will, but until then just don't ask."

He looked at me and shook his head.

"Whatever you say boss. I just hate being in the dark."

He stepped past me and moved on. I watched him for a second and spoke to myself.

"Better to be in the dark, then to know what I know."

I quickly followed him and we came upon the abandoned mansion. I did a thermal scan of the entire area and didn't pick up any readings of any other people, but still I unholstered my gun and kept it ready should we happen upon anyone. I nodded to Davis to go and open the door as I kept an eye out. He tried a couple of times to pick the lock to the front door and I could hear him getting frustrated.

"Whats wrong Davis, leave your gear in your other pants?"

He scoffed at me.

"Funny fucking guy aren't we? It just doesn't seem to want to unlock."

I turned to look at what he was doing and something came to mind. I stepped past him and moved some of the debris that was near the door. There was an electronic pad there.

"Just our fucking luck."

Davis looked at me.

"Now how do we get inside?"

I looked at him for a second before I stepped away from the door. I lifted my hand up towards my mouth and pushed a button on my comm link. When it chirped I spoke.

"This is Capt. Devon Kennedy. Alhpa Team leader. I need electronic and computer assistance to infiltrate area A. High priority. Confirm."

A few seconds later a female's voice came through the comm.

"Request confirmed Capt. Kennedy. Anyone specific you'd like to request?"

Davis and I looked at each other. He had no idea what was going on. I on the other hand knew exactly who to ask for.

"Yes. Eve Redfield. Give her no more info then she absolutely needs. Lets keep this under wraps as much as possible. Confirm."

Again the voice came through at me.

"Request confirmed. Agent Redfield will be dispatched right away. He also has a message for you Capt."

I raised a single brow before I answered her.

"And that is?"

The comm chirped for a second.

"He says that you had better not screw this up like you did the last project. He also said that you know what is at stake. Confirm."

I shook my head.

"Message confirmed. Get Redfield here ASAP."

I pushed another button and my comm chirped off. Davis sat there with a stunned look on his face.

"Mind telling me what is going on yet?"

I shook my head at him.

"Its not for you to know right now. Lets get warm for the time being."

I reached up on my vest and flicked a small switch. A small red light began to flash and Davis pointed to it.

"And that is?"

I looked at it then him.

"So they know where to send Redfield. Now get the fire going."

Davis grumbled and did as he was told.

"So, Devon, what do we do now?"

I pulled a cigarette from the pack and placed it to my lips, lighting it as I did.

"Now, we wait for Eve to get her pretty ass to us."

Davis looked at me funny.

"I take it you know her."

I shook my head.

"I know of her, and her family history. Lets leave it at that."

Davis shook his head and went back to what he was doing. I continued to smoke as we waited for Eve to arrive. Hopefully she would be dropped close enough to us. The weather was getting more unpredictable as the day wore on.

PostSubject: Re: Resident Evil: Omega   Resident Evil: Omega Icon_minitimeMon Nov 17, 2008 1:15 pm

The room was completely dark, but Eve could see without a problem. She adjusted her night vision goggles on her face and took a deep breath as she jumped head first into the black pit of nothingness. Just a few feet shy of the floor she stopped. Her long blondish hair swept along the dusty floor. As she hung suspended upside down, she looked up and saw the artifact in front of her. She smiled to herself. After making sure her feet were tightly secured in the descender’s harness, so she wouldn’t fall flat on her face, she held her right arm up in front of her and flipped open a small bracer computer. Scanning the room for life forms and seeing none she closed the bracer and was about to reach for the vase when the room suddenly was flooded with bright lights. Eve withdrew her hand and snatched off her goggles. She spun around still hanging upside down to see a young black haired girl walking towards her. Eve snatched a line on her harness and flipped over landing on her feet. Her manner was enough to let the other girl know she was pissed off, but Eve voiced her opinion anyways, “I thought I said no interruptions! How can I get my training hours in if you people will not let me train?” She looked at the young girl who looked as if she was scared to death of Eve, “Well come out with it girl, what is so damned important?”
The girl stammered and offered Eve an electronic notepad. “You have…been selected… by…” Tiring quickly at the girl’s inexperience Eve rolled her eyes, “Oh bloody hell, I will read it myself.” She snatched the pad from the girl and the girl began to back away. Eve flipped on the notepads main screen. It asked for her security code. Eve grumbled as she typed in the 10-digit pin number, “Must be something important for me to have to type that infernal thing in.” She read the screen as her orders scrolled across it.
Expressionless, Eve walked out of the training room and past the inexperienced twit. She handed the pad back to the girl as it started to spark and smoke. “You may want to put that in a metal trashcan somewhere, before it burns the baby.” Eve walked out of the room swaying her hips in her tight leather pants.
Within two hours Eve was packed and on a plane headed for her destination. She was to rendezvous with Devon L. Kennedy and his partner. Undoubtedly, they did need a woman’s help. She smiled privately to herself at her inside joke. The pilot turned to face Eve, “We are within a few miles of your drop off point, Ms. Redfield. You may want to get your pack ready.” Eve nodded in return. She had all of her gear in the black pack on her back, a second bag, housed her parachute. Within a few moments, she was barreling out the side of the plane. She enjoyed the thrill of flying through the frigid air. It had been such a long time since she had been down to the surface and she waited until the last possible minute to release her parachute.
Landing with a light thud on the ground, Eve started to immediately gather up her chute and packing it up in her backpack. It would come in handy later in this weather. She opened her bracer and locked into the GPS systems. She silently thanked Devon for the turning on his tracking device; it sure made her job easier. She was not to far off, maybe a mile or two. She quickly hiked the rest of the way, she was quiet and stealthy, but not on purpose, that was just the way she was all the time. When she was within about 200 yards of them she could see they had a warm fire ready for her. She grinned and sniffed the air; she knew that cheap brand of smokes anywhere. Without making a sound she made her way right behind Davis, he was trying to unlock a door. She placed her hands on her hips and began to tap her foot on the cemented stoop leading up to the door. “Amateurs!” Davis jumped. Devon turned around and greeted her, “Well, it is about damned time.” Eve smiled, “Nice to see you too Devon.”

[center]Davis looked at Eve, then at me. He saw the smile she was giving me, and the look of irritation on my face. His voice was hoarse from being scared to death.
“You two sure you don’t know each other?”
My face smoothed out and I spoke to Davis, but kept Eve’s gaze locked with my own.
“Me and her go way back. Once upon a time we knew each other pretty well.”
Davis stood up and walked to the fire to warm his hands.
“Oh, so you fucked her then. That’s all you had to say Devon. No need to bullshit me. You knew I’d eventually figure it out. So, what happened? The Agency fuck that up?”
I shook my head.
“No, I did. Now take Eve and show her what we got. I have to make another call.”
Davis led Eve to the electronic pad.
“Well, I guess you’ll know what to do being the electronic expert and all.”
Eve walked past him and began setting up. Davis rubbed his chin.
“So, you mind telling me what he meant by that?”
Eve didn’t look at him, but spoke as she worked.
“He liked too many women, and couldn’t decide which one he really wanted. Although, he did seem really fond of me.”
Davis moved a few things for Eve.
“So he loved you. Why is it so hard for you two to just say what it is? Now I know why you two clicked. I’ve known Devon since before the agency sent us off to the academy, and he never held interest in one girl for too long, so he must have loved you. Did he ever tell you so?”
Eve shook her head.
“Nope. When I found out about his indiscretion, he admitted what he had done, then left without so much as another word. I haven’t seen him since, until now.”
Davis started another small fire closer to the door to try to thaw out the electronics at the pad.
“That’s the way I’ve always known him to be. He never tells me anything. I still have no idea why we’re here. I bet you don’t really know either do you?”
Eve shook her head again.
“The Agency doesn’t really give out too much info to those who do not readily need it. But I have been ordered to stick around as long as I’m needed.”
Davis moved closer to the fire rubbing his hands together.
“Well, I’m hoping we won’t have to be here too long. I wanna go home and see my family.”
Eve nodded and went about her work. Davis looked towards me. My back was to them, and I was speaking in a hushed voice to my comm.
“Well, what should I tell them both? Not the truth obviously.”
The comm. Chirped quietly.
“Tell them only that which they need to know to function, nothing more. This is too vital to our cause. If they get their hands on the dormant virus, life as we know it will dramatically change. You above all others know this.”
I pushed the button again.
“Yes I do. I’ll think of something.”
I heard footsteps coming up behind me in the crunching snow.
“Capt. Kennedy out.”
The comm. Chirped and then fell silent as Davis walked up.
“So, what’s the good word boss?”
I flicked my smoke and turned, looking past Davis, at Eve.
“We move our asses; accomplish our mission, and then motor on home. As quickly as possible.”
He apparently saw me looking at Eve.
“Why don’t you just go talk to her? I see the way you two look at each other. I’m tired anyways, so I won’t bother you.”
I opened my mouth to protest, but Davis walked away and settled himself down for the night. I walked over to Eve.
“Got everything ready? I’d like to get this over with quickly.”
Eve looked at me sideways while she worked.
“You know all it would have taken was a message. Either way, you could have said good bye.”
I nodded and sighed slightly.
“Yeah. So, how’ve you been? Heard you were on a pretty good expedition trip to Egypt a few years back. Heard you almost went and got your sweet little ass killed to.”

Eve turned her full attention back to her work. She was almost there and soon the door would be open to them. She didn't know exactly what to say to Devon. It had been about 3 years since the last time they had seen each other. Eve picked up a USB data port and slid it into a slot on the electronic pad. Almost avoiding his question she turn and sat down with crossed legs, "This will take a few minutes to download, and we will be set." She could see Devon raise his brow. She was never one for idle chat, but she gave into him, "Yea, other than that I have been fine. Egypt was hell and a complete waste of my time." Devon sat down beside her.
Devon pulled out his pack of smokes from his pocket and placed another one to his lips to light it. "What happened?" Eve shook her head and turned around to check the progress of the electronic pad. It would still be about another 30 minutes. "I don’t want to talk about it." Devon lit his smoke and inhaled deeply. "Why not?" Eve watched the plum of smoke escape from his lips, "You know you smoke those el cheepo's way to much." Devon shrugged, "So?" Eve held out her hand, "Give me one." Devon raised a brow at her and took the cigarette out of his mouth. "Since when did you start smoking?" Devon took a smoke out and handed it to her. She took it and his lighter. She placed it between her soft full lips and inhaled deeply as the fire from the lighter flickered in her eyes. Handing the lighter back she took the smoke out of her lips, “Since...Egypt."
Devon put the pack and lighter back in his pocket, "What in the hell happened down there?" Eve glanced over her shoulder at the flashing lights on the pad and then stood up quickly turning her back to Devon who still sitting down. Folding her one arm under the other she puffed hard on the cigarette and exhaled heavily. She replied with a low tone, “Nothing.” Devon rose to his feet, “Oh cut the bullshit, Eve. Something happened down there now tell me what it was.” Eve spun on her heels to face him. Her voice slightly rose above a whisper, “What in the hell do you care? When have you ever cared about anyone but yourself?”

I quickly pulled Eve close and wrapped my arms around her, kissing her deeply before she could protest. Just as quickly, I pulled my lips away from hers and whispered.

"I care about you more then I ever let on Eve. Ever since I met you. I'm sorry about what happened. I'm not the same as I was before. Please, tell me what happened to you in Egypt."

I looked into her eyes trying to see what was going on inside her head.

The soft rumble of the jet engines were barely audible in the lavish space, but he heard them clearly; he always heard everything. Just as the plane banked slightly, a voice chimed clear and clean from the cockpit.
"We're almost at our destination, sir. What are your orders?"
He glanced out the window, staring down at the dark shape of the Arklay mountains, and the ghostly shape of the city beyond. In a sharp, clear tone, he responds, "Take us once around the mountains, then find a suitable landing site. Take it down vertically. I don't believe you'll find a strip long enough in this territory."
"Done, sir."
As the jet banks slowly again in a wide arc over the mountains and the old city, Albert Wesker remains still, calmly looking out of the window at the shadows below, some few lights can be seen around the outskirts of the city, perfectly spaced...but for one near what appears to be an old mansion. Wesker frowns slightly at this, but does not speak of it. Instead he clears his throat and speaks to the pilot of another matter. "I see the Marines are all in place. They have been informed of my arrival?"
The pilot responds immediately. "Aye, sir. They have a welcoming party set up for you on the city side of Ravensgate Bridge. You'll find their CO there waiting for you."
"Perfect. Take us down and land us on the bridge itself." As he says this, Wesker stands and begins to gather up his packs and equipment. Once they are all together on his seat, he reaches down to draw out his firearm, his pride and joy; a refurbished .50mm Magnum with laser sighting. Smiling very slightly, he checks the weapon quickly, then holsters it again and reaches out to grip the back of his seat as the jet begins its vertical landing on the bridge leading in to old Racoon City. As soon as the jet has touched down, Wesker signals a crew member to gather up his packs and follow before making his way to the door.
As Albert opens the door, lowers the steps and makes his way forward with his crew member and his equipment, he glances around swiftly, then focuses on the five Marines standing at the city-side entrance of the bridge. Wesker raises a hand briefly in greeting then makes his way forward, reaching out to grasp and shake the Marine CO's hand as the CO greets him.
"Welcome to Racoon, Dr. Wesker. I trust your trip was without incident."
Albert drops the CO's hand and speaks his greeting, the low light glinting off the dark shades that cover his eyes. "It always is. Is my accomodation set already? I must unpack, and I wish to begin work as soon as possible."
The CO gestures to his aide as he replies. "It is, sir. We have you set up in the old Church. My Aide will take your equipment there, and we have all of your computer systems set up to your exact specifications." The CO turns to another Marine and barks an order for a jeep.
Wesker smiles again, very slightly, and drops into the jeep easily after checking to make sure his packs of equipment are safely secured in the back. As the jeep roars off into the city, Wesker can hear the soft rumble of his jet powering up, readying for take off....

Eve was about to continued scowling at Devon, when he suddenly grabbed her and kissed her. Devon released her just as quickly and her head was still spinning from the slight dip he gave her as she regained her senses. Her anger began to fume more and all she wanted was to slap him across the face. She wanted him to feel all the pain she had felt in that last 5-½ years. She wanted to know how much her brother’s disappearance affected her, how Devon leaving her without so much as a good bye, hurt her. She wanted nothing more than to kick him hard in the balls and give him a piece of her mind…
But she couldn’t. She saw the look in his eyes, those beautiful eyes that she fell in love with years ago. He was telling the truth. She has always had a knack for knowing when he was lying and this was not one of those times. She knew then that he had changed. She was about to open her mouth to speak. She was going to tell him everything. She was going to tell him about Egypt, what a mess it had been, about her brother, and how much she never stopped loving him. Just as she opened her mouth to speak the soft alarm on her bracer started going off and the red lights on the electronic pad flashed to green. There was a pop and a plum of dust and ice rose from a crack in the old door. Eve pushed her long blond hair behind her and walked past Devon without looking at him. “Looks like we are in.”

Evangeline sat across the aisle from Wesker on the jet. Pieces of her rifle cluttered the seat next to her and the butt sat in her lap along with her gun cleaning kit. She ignored the bi-play between Wesker and the pilot as she assembled her rifle with a quickness that would have made any SEAL proud.
Wesker motioned for her to grab his gear and she glared at him. Descending the steps she dropped the packs into an unceremonious heap. She was a prized sharpshooter, not some lackey. Let an aide do Weskers grunt work. She never had before, and she wasn't about to start now.
Evangeline and Wesker had a silent agreement. Wesker did the heavy work and she sat back making sure he lived to work another day. Her job was easy. Eliminate any threat to Dr. Wesker. And killing was something she was good at.
Evangeline stroked the barrel of her rifle with a finger and surveyed the bridge.
"Shall I tell the aide to give you a separete room, or shall we be sharing quarters?"
Evangeline shot a dirty look at Wesker over her shoulder and stalked off down the bridge.
"We'll be sharing then."
Wesker turned to the aide.
"Separate beds."
The aide nodded. "Yes, sir."

So far the church was empty. Clearing the rectory she backed out the door and headed down the hall towards the preists quarters. Two disintegrated skeletons lay on the floor. Shaking her head she stepped past them and nudged the door open with the barrel of her rifle. The room was barren except for a set of chairs, one of them over turned, and an end table in front of a fireplace. Books decayed on the dusty built-in shelves and another skeleton was sitting in the upright chair. Those boys don't clean up very well, do they?, she thought to herself. Securing the remaining rooms, she headed back to the chapel and to the Marines who were setting up Weskers equipment.
"Trying to shock me, boys?"
The Marines jumped, startled. They hadn't even known that she'd arrived at the church. One of them recovered quickly and snapped to attention. "Ma'am?"
Evangeline removed the rifle from her back and laid it on one of the pews.
"There are three bodies still back there, rotting. I suggest you have them removed before Brigadier General Wesker arrives."
Three Marines trotted off to the back of the church. "Yes, ma'am!"
Evangeline waved them off and checked the clips in her two 9 mm Glocks. The rifle was her baby, the Glocks were merely back up in case she ever ran out of ammo for her rifle. Which, so far, hadn't happened. She was just as good with the Glocks as she was with the rifle and she practiced every day, without fail. Wesker had complained once about the noise, and she'd shot back at him that if there ever came a day when she didn't practice then she had better be dead and buried with gun in hand.
Sliding the Glocks back into her hip holsters she started climbing up to the rafters. A birds eye view was her preference. Better head shots that way. The jeep pulled up in front of the church and Wesker climbed out. Another Marine jumped down the front steps and started unloading Weskers equipment. Settling down underneath the broken stained glass window she rested her hands on her knees and watched her rifle.
"Where is Lieutenant Colonel Gerhardt?"
The Marine shifted uneasily. "Sir?"
Wesker frowned.
"Tall woman, black hair, ice blue eyes, carries around that gun right there."
The Marine flushed bright red. "I'm not sure where she went, sir."
Wesker searched the ceiling until he found her under the window.
"Building is secure?"
Evangeline let a leg dangle from the rafter.
"Would I be sitting here if it wasn't?"
Wesker nodded once and turned back to his gear. Evangeline looked back out the window at the empty city.

Wesker turns back to his packs, gesturing an aide over to him. Wesker checks through the first pack....clothing and other essentials. He closes this pack up and passes it to the waiting Marine. "Take this to my quarters and place it on my bed, then report to Lieutenant General Gerhardt, and see if she has anything for you to do."
As the Marine snaps a sharp salute and hurries away with Wesker's pack, Wesker turns to the next pack and snaps it open. Inside this pack are two laptop computers, and boxes of data disks, meticulously labelled. As Wesker pulls them out and checks them carefully for damage, Evangeline speaks up from her spot at the windowsill. "So, what's going on here? What happened that they brought you here for research?"
Wesker stops for a moment and glances over his shoulder up at Evangeline, the light glinting off his shades. He places the laptops to the side with the disks, and snaps open another pack as he answers. "Umbrella is hoping to gain the control they once had, and this place was the main base of their operations." Wesker stops briefly and turns to stare up at Evangeline. "Do you know what happened here? Were you briefed on any of this?"
Evangeline shakes her head slightly, and Wesker sighs softly. "It's simple, really. The old Umbrella as it stood in the public eye served to provide the best services and resources to humanity. Medicinal, military, and the like. But what was lesser known to the public was their genetic engineering and viral capabilities. It was quite near here that their main research facility, affectionately known as The Hive, was located. The exact location of which has been lost due to either human or computer error. It was there that the great Racoon City tragedy first originated. A viral experiment spiralled out of control, infecting the entire city, and it was the president's order to..... "cleanse" Racoon City. Once it had all died down, people steered clear of this place. Some tried to rebuild here, but it never seemed to work. Too many old ghosts in this place."
Wesker glances around briefly, then turns back to Evangeline. "I am here to discover the location of The Hive, to retrieve, catalogue, and study whatever technology, samples, and information I find." Wesker points a finger at Evangeline. "You are here to protect me and my work. There was discussion about this, but I helped the decision along. I have worked with you countless times before, and I trust you as much as I am able to trust anyone."
A slight smile touches the corner of Wesker's lips. "I also feel they gave you this assignment to keep an eye on me. My family name is not one the Government is still able to fully trust, and the...ha, "rumours" that abound about me make for some very nervous persons within both the US Government, and Umbrella Corp." Wesker gives a little chuckle and turns back to his packs, unloading and checking through an array of high-tech weaponry. "The amusing thing is, though they hear rumours of my....endevours to make myself a superior human being, they have not the slightest inkling of yours....."

I kept staring into her eyes, waiting for her to speak. She opened her mouth, and I thought about kissing her again. Then her gear started to beep and the door popped open. i broke the eye contact and looked towards the door. Eve walked past me and I rushed over to grab her arm as she headed for the open door.

"No, wait. Davis, put out the fire and gather the gear. We're going in."

He nodded.

"Gotcha."

I turned my attention back to Eve and let go of her elbow, drawing my weapon. I pulled the slide back and chambered a round, flipping the safety to off. I moved past Eve and pushed the door open slightly, letting my eyes see as far into the darkness as they could. I turned and looked at her.

"Me and Davis will go in first. You stay close to him. Just because this place has been abandoned doesn't mean anything. Can never be too careful."

Eve looked at me and put her hands to her hips, her foot began to tap on the broken concrete of the porch.

"Oh really. What could there be to worry about? I thought this place was abandoned like a hundred years ago."

Davis came up and waited for me to enter. I looked at her for another second.

"Eve, there is more to this place then either of you know. Trust me, we cannot go in here without caution. Just listen to me for once. I am the ranking officer here."

I hated to have to pull rank on her, but he knew it was imperative that they not become complacent. I took a small flashlight and clipped it to the underside of the barrel of my gun, and turned it on. With the .45 held out in front of me I went through the doorway. Inside the foyer was almost black with darkness. The windows had been covered a long time ago, keeping the sun's rays from touching the interior of the room. The air stunk of rotting corpses long since dead. Old death, and must. I put my mouth to my sleeve and blinked a few times to clear my eyes. When the foyer was clear, I motioned for Davis. He came in, with Eve right behind him. She didn't look too happy, and I didn't expect her too. I lowered the gun and turned to say something to them. When i did, my mind raced back through memories I didn't know were there.

~It was years ago. I was a child, running through this same foyer. My father was chasing behind me. We were both laughing. He had taken me with him on more then one trip to the surface to do research on the events that happened in Raccoon City. It was his way of teaching me about the past of my ancestors. The sun shined through the large windows of each room I ran through. I had gotten separated from my father. I could hear his voice in the distance, but I couldn't tell from which direction it was coming from. Before me was a metal door, with a keypad. I walked towards it slowly, not knowing what lay behind it. I reached my arm up as I got close to the door and my fingers punched in a code. What was it I was entering? I couldn't tell, but my mind knew what to do. The keypad beeped and the door opened with a hiss. Every one of my senses screamed at me to run. But instead, I walked through the door. The next image flashed before me of a man in a white suit, the kind you see people wear around nuclear reactors stood before me. Was that my name he was yelling? I couldn't tell, but it sounded like a woman...~

The flashback stopped and i realized it was Eve saying my name. I turned to look at her, and she slammed into me, knocking me to the floor with her landing on top of me. Just as suddenly, the chandelier hanging from the ceiling came crashing to the floor. We both looked at it. Had she not tackled me to the floor, I would have been crushed. Davis stood there with a blank expression on his face, looking at us. I looked up into Eve's eyes.

"If you wanted to get me on my back, all you had to do was ask."

I reached up and kissed her again. This time with more passion then I had the first time. I slowly let our lips part and looked up into her eyes.

"Thanks. Come on."

I slid out from under her and started towards another door that led into the other parts of the mansion. Eve looked at Davis as she got to her feet and brushed the dust from herself, muttering under her breath.

"Men."

Davis shrugged and followed behind me. I looked back again as I came to another door with a keypad.

"Eve, I need you again. Got another door for you to open. Think we can get this one oepn quicker, or should I have Davis here blow it open?"

Davis stepped beside me and looked confused.

"What the hell is this place Devon? Why such security, and how the hell do you know some much, but her and I know nothing?"

I looked at Davis as Eve came and set up her gear to open the door. Her eyes were set on what she was doing, but I could tell she was more interested in what I was going to say. I figured they both deserved an explaination of some sort.

"Remember the sotries of Raccoon City? What happened a hundred years ago?"

Davis nodded and Eve stopped what she was doing.

"Well, we are now standing on the ground floor of what the Umbrella Corp. had once called the "Hive". This mansion was a cover for the viral, and genetic bio-engineering that the Corp. was involved in. It was secret testing they were doing. None of it was sanctioned by the government. An outbreak occured when some of the scientists became infected with the very virus they were testing. At first they used animals, how the scientist got infected is still somewhat of a mystery. What is known, is that there were two strains of the virus. The T-virus, and the G-virus. The G-virus made what would come to be known as the Nemesis program. The president at the time ordered Raccoon City to be quarantined, and after the outbreak consumed the entire city, he ordered the nuclear cleansing of every one inside the city limits. Those not infected with the virus, included. Only a few were able to escape. My anscestors, as well as Eve's here. I trust you both have heard of a one Dr. Albert Wesker? Well, that is our mission. We find all traces of the viral strains, and destroy it. If that mission cannot be accomplished, then we are ordered to eliminate Wesker, and anyone working with him. I happen to have enormous information on both he, and his hired bodyguard Lieutenant Colonel Evangeline Gerhardt."

Davis stood stunned, and so did Eve. Finally, Davis squeeked out another question.

"What kind of information? Why us?"

I looked at the keypad on the door, and then at Davis.

"Information on their genetic make-ups. Both have been enhanced by the government at some stage. Wesker's is a little bit on the trickier side, Lt. Col Gerhardt on the other hand was not so hard to find, if you knew where to look. That was the "Big Fuck-up" that always gets thrown in my face Davis. I was supposed to retrieve all the files on Wesker, but only managed to get a few. i did however manage to get everything on Gerhardt. They will not be easily dispatched. That is why we were sent my friend. You and I are the best marksman the Resistance has, and I happen to know a lot about what we are up against. The virus turned living tissue into something else, and was transmitted through saliva. It could re-animate a corpse, or turn a living person into a fleshless monster depending on how it was infected. From the reports my father had me study, the only way to really "kill" and infected subject was to sever the spinal column, or nerve endings."

Davis turned white and Eve stopped looking at her gear. It was flashing lights as it tried to decipher the door's code. I cleared my throat and continued.

"We don't have much time. I requested Eve because she is the absolute best in her field. We will need her, quite often. We need to protect her at all costs."

Eve looked at me, and placed her hand on my arm.

"And what about you?"

I looked at her and smiled slightly.

"I am expendable. You two are not. We have to hurry."
I looked at the keypad again.

"Can we speed this up any?"
Eve shook her head.

"No. It takes time to crack codes you know."

I grunted and slammed my foot into the door, just above the door knob. The door flew open and splintered the door frame. I raised my gun and pointed it inside the door, letting the flashlight find all the dark corners of the room.

"We are going deep into the hive. It is the only way to get inside Raccoon City's limits. So be on your toes. Do not just assume something is dead unless the only thing left of it is a skeleton. Remember what I said about how the virus works."

I took a step inside, and the two of them followed me. I slowed my pace and then stopped completely.

"I've been here before. When I was younger."

Eve grumbled as he almost smashed her PDA. "You know Devon, you wont be able to kick open every fucking door in this place." She snatched up her equipment and put it in her bag as Devon continued to talk.
"We are going deep into the hive. It is the only way to get inside Raccoon City's limits. So be on your toes. Do not just assume something is dead unless the only thing left of it is a skeleton. Remember what I said about how the virus works."
Devon stepped through the door still talking about how he had been here before. Eve muttered under her breath, "I am fully aware of how that infernal virus works, Egypt made sure of that." She saw Devon look at her from the corner of his eye as Eve pulled a modified semi automatic Walther P99 from her belt pouch and then zipped it up tight. "I thought you didn’t like guns," Devon remarked as she check to make sure the laser sight was working. "It is like a condom, Devon. I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have one." Devon smirked at her and turned to continue on.
Devon stopped; he was looking around and checking the area out. Eve did just as she was told and stayed close to Davis. There was a slight muffled sound to their right and she instantly aimed her gun in that direction. A few moments later a large rather hairy looking spider crawled across her boot. Eve wrinkled her nose and kicked the spider off. She brought her foot down forcefully making a loud crunching noise. "Ugh, I hate bugs."
They continued on and Eve sulked in her mind. She could not believe that Devon tried to pull rank on her and then had the audacity to kiss her again. She should have let that fucking chandelier fall on his fucking head. She silently rolled her eyes in the dark. If he only had a clue as to what she saw down there.
Suddenly Devon motioned for them to stop. He came to a steep slope with broken tracks leading down. Devon motioned for her to come up to him. There was a train at the bottom, but looked like it had been out of commission years ago. "Think you can get us down there?"
Without answering him in any way, she held up a long repelling gear to include clips and ropes. "You are not afraid of heights, are you?" Davis moved up next to Eve, "Ugh we are going down there?" Devon looked at him and holstered his gun. "I am afraid so partner." Devon held up his arms as Eve wrapped her arms around him strapping on the repelling gear. She could tell Devon was enjoying this as their bodies pressed up together. She snatched the last securing belt between his thighs and around his waist. Devon grinned and Eve just rolled her eyes.
"Come, on Davis don’t be a pussy." Davis looked at Devon, "Well isn’t she just a lady?" Eve started to strap the gear onto Davis with an almost emotionless face.

In the darkness there is only me. Death, disease and small portions of rotting flesh. My meals have been few for some time now, but my children have sacrificed their souls for my nourishment. Thoughts are real as my prey draws near.
The creature thinks to herself, 'Come to my domain. Yes, bring your curiosity forth. For like the cat, it can kill.' She weaved back and forth knowing they were near, 'MMM, human. Explore a little further. WHAT!'
She felt it as the human stopped the life of a small spider. The legs stretched out with their last dying breath to feel the air.
"HHHH! You will pay for that, you will pay!" Looking about at her followers, she decides to send out 5 warriors. They resembled a small vehicle those humans called cars.
With her thoughts she seemed not as serene as before, "Take many of your rangers, split them up in various areas. Those who are not as strong are to be sacrificed first. Ice will follow, if they breached further on, then we will show them what fire and poison can do". Poison, yes poison. Her blood flowed freely with its' deadly venom. Thanks to the T-virus, she was more stronger now. Her skin made from reinforced steel, not many weapons could even put a dent in it. With no preference for names, she decided to keep the one that always seemed to come in her memories, 'Black Tiger'.
"Crunch MY pet, if you hate bugs, then prepare bitch. You will pay, that I promise. Then I will have my delights." Looking about she swings her hairy arm, "Nowwww, goooooo!"... Some of the smaller spiders go ahead of the larger ones. From the size of rats to large dogs, they went ahead of the much stronger and more fierce predators.Seeking out their victims. Some screeching at the smell of human flesh.

Evangeline scowled darkly. "There is nothing in my blood that makes me superior to anyone else."
Wesker chuckled. "Only the genetic make-up of Jack Krauser, Leon Kennedy and the legendary Alice. The best of the best. The best of the Resistance, the best of Umbrella, the best of their creations." Wesker turned and there was a sterile hypodermic needle in his hand. "Care to find out how special you really are?"
Evangeline stood up, casting her shadow across the entire church. Two of the Marines that had been discreetly listening in on their conversation started nervously at the shadows sudden appearance. Evangeline looked down at Wesker from her lofty position. "I'll pass."
"You sure?" He waved the syringe slightly. "You never know ... I might be able to improve on Rheinhart's work."
Evangeline smirked nastily. "You calling me imperfect ... Albert?"
Wesker shook his head. "Of course not. Evangeline. I know better. But if I can isolate the mutations-"
"Mutations? I don't have any mutations." Evangeline crossed her arms over her chest.
"But you have to have mutations. All the experiments that Umbrella did on Krauser. Even Leon was host to an infected creature once. And Alice was worse off than both of them."
"Dr. Rheinhart took care of all that. I am mutation free. Virus free. 100% human. I've never even been sick a single day in my life." Evangeline jumped out the window, ending the conversation. Two Marines stood guard at the church's main entrance and two more were patrolling down the side alley. Every door leading in or out of the church had two guards each. Eighteen guards outside, plus five inside with Wesker. That should be more than enough. And she had her walkie-talkie, as always. She could step away for a few minutes.
Stepping into an abandoned grocery store she flipped open her cellphone and pushed a button. It rang once before someone on the other end picked up. "What's he doing?" Evangeline closed her eyes for a moment before answering.
"He's typing on a computer." The voice at the other end didn't respond at first. "And?"
"And what?", Evangeline asked. "What is he typing?"
"How should I know? I don't have x-ray vision." Her fathers voice cracked through the cellphone like a whip. "Don't get smart with me, Evangeline!" His voice softened some and Evangeline could see him in her mind, thousands of miles away, sitting back in his chair behind his desk at Umbrella headquarters. "How was your flight?" Evangeline surveyed the dusty shelves absently.
"It was long and boring and uneventful. And as comfortable as it can get on a jet. Oh!"
Marcus Gerhardt sat straight up in his chair, his hand gripping the telephone receiver tightly to his ear. "Evangeline?! What's the matter?" She reached out and picked up a small can off the shelf.
"I found a can of crushed pineapple bits. Mmm it's been a while since I've had crushed bits." Dr. Gerhardt looked at the phone in his hand and wondered if his adopted daughter had lost her mind. "Don't you dare eat that, Evangeline! Who knows what you could catch from just touching something in that city." Evangeline rolled her eyes to the ceiling.
"Ghost town, Dad. Cities have a populations. This place is dead. A ghost town."
After another dire warning about the hazards of eating the pineapple and a few minutes of light banter, Evangeline hung up her phone and exited the store, knowing full well that Weskers equipment had just recorded her entire conversation.
She almost felt guilty for not telling her father about Wesker asking for her blood. She thought about calling him back on her secured satellite phone, the one Wesker couldn't hack into, and tell her father about the incident. But then she dismissed the thought. Instead she walked further down the street, thinking about the Umbrella security breech.
Devon Kennedy had broken into Umbrella Corp. and stolen files pertaining to Wesker and herself. It galled her that there was someone out there with classified information about her genetic make-up. Even if that someone was, technically, a blood relative. Not that it mattered. Evangeline shook her head. As long as Devon didn't try to kill Wesker, he'd live. But if he gave her a reason to put his head in her cross hairs, he'd have two seconds to say a prayer before she splattered his brains over his partner's face.
Evangeline turned around and headed back to the church. She'd been gone for over 30 minutes already and she didn't like to leave Wesker along for long periods of time. He had a bad habit of ignoring everything around him when he was engrossed in his work. It was one of the reason Evangeline had been assigned to him in the first place. Lord only knew what the other reasons were.

Wesker sighs slightly, smiling, as Evangeline leaps out and takes off. Pulling out the PDA from his left hip, he taps in his access code, unlocking the device, and runs through its system. His smile widens as the screen comes to life with a rough layout of the area, showing a tiny red dot moving towards what appears to be an abandoned store. The red dot flashes briefly in orange, and Wesker pulls a small earpiece from the back of the device and jacks it into his ear. 'A phone call....interesting. Ah, just checking in with daddy. How sweet.'
As Wesker listens to the conversation, making sure his main computer system has picked up and recorded the signal correctly, he reaches into the final pack, drawing out a large pouch. Opening it, he checks the small but powerful cameras within, making sure none are damaged, then turns and heads for the door. As he strides out, he turns to the Marine CO. "I'm heading out to set up surveillance around the city. Keep your men here, and finish cleaning this place. I would not allow my dog to live in such filth as this. Store my packs in my room, and place my computer equipment with the main system. I will sort it when I return."
As he strides down the steps, the CO calls out to him. "Sir, should we inform Leuitenant Colonel Gerhardt of your whereabouts? If you need to know where she went...."
Wesker stops him with one raised hand, showing the PDA's map with the tiny red dot on it. "I already know where she is, Major. As for informing her of my whereabouts, I would rather prefer you didn't. Let her find me herself. It will be good practice for her, and allow her to learn the lay of the land."
Wesker turns and strides off into the city, PDA in his hand, calculating where best to place his cameras, and updating the map as he travels through the dark, deserted streets.
Some time later, after most of his cameras are in place, Wesker approaches along a bare, silent stretch of road, through a large iron gate and on into the darkness. He carries no light with him as, even with his shades covering his eyes, he can see perfectly well in the dark, the only light showing is the light blue flicker of the PDA, and the slight red gleam that shows through his shades. A tiny beep issues from the PDA as he scans the darkness ahead, studying what appears to be a large, old mansion. Flicking his gaze down to the device in his hand, he smiles at the tiny red dot that races towards his exact position. Turning away from the mansion, he stands in the very centre of the road, and waits for Evangeline to catch up with him, knowing full well she is more than a little upset with his disappearance....

PostSubject: Re: Resident Evil: Omega   Resident Evil: Omega Icon_minitimeTue Nov 18, 2008 6:16 pm

"What do you mean, he's gone?!"
The Marine stuttered incoherently. "He just left, ma'am. Said not to tell you where he was going, cause it would be good for you." Evangeline reached out and snatched him by his throat.
"You will tell me where he is, or I'll snap your worthless throat for you." The Marine choked from the pressure her fingers were causing on his windpipe. "But if I do tell you, Brigadier General Wesker will do alot worse." Evangeline snarled and threw the Marine to the floor. His CO picked him up, dusting him off and glared at Evangeline behind her back. Big shots, he thought. Always thinking they're so much better than everyone else, just cause they get to go on their 'top secret missions'. Evangeline stalked over to the pew where she'd left her rifle. The gun was gone. Her prized H&K PSG-1 with HOLOsight XLP Riflescope 530021 was missing. Her voice was deadly and dropped the temperature inside the church a good 10 degrees.
"Where ... is ... my ... rifle ...??"
The CO looked at her stupidly. "Your what?"
"My rifle!"
The Marine started stuttering again. "I uh, I moved it .. ma'am."
"Moved it to where?" Evangeline advanced on the poor Marine again, and he back away quickly. "I uh, um, it's ... uh ..."
Evangeline screamed at him.
"Well!?"
His mouth moved, but there were no words coming out. Evangeline ripped a Glock out of its holster and pointed the barrel at his face.
"Do you know what this is? No? It's a Glock 18C. It's a fully automatic hand gun that's capable of firing 1200 shots per minute. That's 20 rounds per second. And it only takes me about 2 seconds to reload. Now, knowing this information .. how fast do you think you can move?"
"I PUT IT IN DR. WESKERS ROOM!" Evangeline holstered her Glock and smiled sweetly at the Marine.
"Good boy."
Evangeline retrieved her rifle from the quarters she would be sharing with Wesker and headed out the back door. Wesker was only about 15 minutes ahead of her ... all she had to do was follow the little cameras that he was setting up around town. Evangeline had caught the dirty looks that the CO had shot her way when the Marine had mentioned Wesker's room. The CO knew that she and Wesker shared a room. Not because they were sleeping together, which they most definitely were not. They shared a room because it was easier to shoot at a target that was half way across the room, than it was to hit said target when you were shooting through a door or a wall. In that situation, it was hard to see said target as well. The scenario had happened before. Her second mission out with Wesker and a traitorous Marine had attacked him while he slept. Ever since that night Evangeline had shared a room with Wesker. The Marine had died, of course, but not before he told Evangeline that he was a member of the Resistance. Upon hearing the news Evangeline spilled his guts across the floor.
Darkness fell quickly and Evangeline slung the rifle across her back, pulling out her Glock and a flashlight. Wesker might be able to see in the dark, but she couldn't. Hence the special HOLOsight XLP Scope on her rifle.
The last of the cameras ended at the outskirts of town and Evangeline met with a large wall. Following it she headed down and found a gated driveway, with Wesker, sitting and waiting for her.
"Bloody well took you long enough."
"Get over youself, Wesker." Evangeline looked at the old mansion.
"Where the hell are we?"

Wesker raises an eyebrow slightly at Evangeline, then smiles slightly and replies," Well, it appears to be an old abandoned mansion. Interesting, yes?"
Wesker glances back down at his PDA as Evangeline calls him a smartass, then he glances up at the sky for a moment, then back in the direction of the city itself. He then frowns deeply, and stares at Evangeline. "It also appears to be a mansion with a few dark secrets. When we flew over, there was a strange light, almost like a campfire, just on the other side, towards the mountains there. Someone else is here, and it isn't our Marine friends."
Wesker checks his PDA again briefly, then places it back in its pouch and motions for Evangeline. "Come on, we're going to check this out. The high walls, the tough gate, the open space lending an unobstructed view of the entire area surrounding it. This may be a little more than a simple mansion. I think we may have just gotten our first little break...."
Wesker turns and sniffs sarcastically at Evangeline. "And you didn't want me to go wandering off. Ha!"
Wesker turns and heads back towards the mansion again, drawing out his sidearm and flicking the safety off, readying himself for whatever made that fire...

Evangeline glared at Wesker sourly.
"Well obviously it's an abandoned mansion. And I know it's not any Marines out here. It's Devon."
Wesker chuckled. "Ahhh, your esteemed ... cousin, or whatever you'd like to call him. You know, if you looked at the family tree correctly, technically, you'd be like, his great aunt, or something."
Evangeline made another sour face at him and checked the gate. She withdrew her Glock and stepped back a foot. "Watch it." The three pound trigger held for half a second before the barrel spit out a single 9mm round, destroying the gates lock. Shoving at the latch, she felt it give away and the gate opened a few inches. Shoving a few more times gave her another couple of inches, but they still wouldn't be able to fit through. Stepping back, she motioned with her hand.
"Wesker ... "
Gripping the bars he shoved the gate open two more feet and preceeded her onto the property. "That wasn't too hard, now was it? Really, Evangeline, you need to work on your muscle tone."
Evangeline snickered. "How strong do you have to be to pull a trigger?"
They proceeded slowly down the debris strewn driveway and up to the front doors. It swung slowly on it's hinges. Devon was already inside. Wesker ran a hand down the side of keypad. "Devon's little honey pot, Eve, must be hanging around again."
Evangeline looked at the keypad and then at Wesker.
"Of course she is. Do you really think that Devon is smart enough to get that lock open, without the code, all by himself? No. Devon is the muscle, Eve is the brains. But I am surprised to see that she's out and about again. Especially after Egypt."
They'd scouted the front foyer by now, and had come to the next door. "See now? This is Devon's handiwork."
"What happened in Egypt?"
Evangeline looked surprised. There was very little that happened in the world without Wesker finding out about it. He had spies in every level of the Resistance and Evangeline was genuinely surprised that he didn't know about Egypt. A teasing smirk eased it's way across her face. "I think I'll let Eve tell you that story." Wesker's red glare settled on her for a moment before he started looking around. Evangeline did the same.
"Alright, smartie pants. Now where do we go from here?"

I looked at Eve and smiled as I answered Davis.

"Only in public Davis."

Quickly I let myself repell down into the train tunnel. The ground was dusty. Off to the side a single overhead light flickered. I drew my gun and flicked on the flash light, sweeping the area. Eve came down next, then Davis. I waved forward with my hand and slowly began moving towards the train. Off in the distance I could hear sounds every now and then. I was just being over cautious I told myself. As I moved forward Eve kind of sighed roughly, then I heard a squishing noise.

"God damned spiders. I hate these fucking things."

I spun and looked at her.

"What did you just say?"

She looked at Davis real quick then back at me.

"I said I hate these fucking spiders."

I looked around.

"Spiders? Shit!"

I grabbed Eve by the hand and yanked her behind me as I ran for the train. Davis lurched forward, falling into step with me. When we got to the train I slammed into the doors, and pryed them open, shoving Eve inside, followed by Davis.

"Davis, shotgun and ammo. Aerosol can. Now."

Davis nodded, and gave me what I asked for, not sure why he was doing it. I closed the doors behind them and slammed the butt end of the shotgun into the control pad of the door, locking them both inside. I flciked on the light at the end of the shotgun. It was fully loaded, and I had put the extra rounds into my pocket. I could hear Eve and Davis shouting from inside the train, but they were muffled by the steel. I was more tuned into the darkness that surrounded us everywhere. I could hear the scurrying of the legs, and then the screeching. I should have known they would have survived. I turned to Eve.

"Get this train moving. Now!"

Davis slammed his hand into the glass.

"Devon, what the fuck? C'mon man. Get in here."

I shook my head and chambered a round into the barrel of the shotgun, then pointed it in the direction I had heard the sounds.

"Eve, get the train moving and quit standing there staring at me. Davis, there is a power junction with some cannon plugs underneath the floor. Hook them up so the train gets the power it needs. Do it!"

I kept the muzzle of the gun pointed into the darkness and reached down, pulling a flare grenade from my flak jacket. Using my teeth I pulled the pin and chucked it into the blackness. A second later it went off illuminating the entire area. Spiders were everywhere, and in different sizes. I gasped and fired. The closest one to me, was the size of a small dog, and exploded in a burst of green ooze like substance. Eve shrieked, and I could hear Davis curse. I turned my head slightly as I chambered another round.

"Move your fucking asses or we're all as good as dead!"

Eve moved and Davis disappeared towards the floor. I blasted off another round. Green slime was going everywhere in the beam of the flash light. In a few seconds The spiders were gone, or dead. The shotgun was empty and I slung it over my shoulder. I listened for any sounds. In the near distance, just out of my vision I could hear the sounds of metal and course fur scratching along the floor. I reached down into my flak and pulled out my Glock. A round was already chambered, and the safety had been off. I pointed it towards the sounds and began to pop off a few shots. The muzzle flash lit the place up and I could see a giant metalic looking spider.

"My god."

I popped off a few more shots before I was slammed to the floor. I braced my forearm against something furry, something trying to chew my head off. Eve screamed again as I struggled.

"Get the god damned train moving!"

I pushed the glock into the underside of the spider's head and pulled the trigger. I got covered in the green blood of the spider and pushed it off of me just in time to see the giant spider emerge from the darkness. I leveled the gun's sights and fired. Each shot glanced off the metal exterior of the spider and ricochetted around the area. I heard the train's wheels begin to move and turned towards it. I wouldn't be getting in through the side cars. My only way in now was through the last car, the end door. It required an access code, but I had known it. I wasn't too sure how I knew, but my brain screamed at me to get to that door. I ran, and the spider jumped forward almost landing on me. It cut off my route and I skidded to a stop, fired a few more rounds and jumped to the side as it spit poison at me. It had missed, but barely. I fired again until the gun was empty. I dropped it and pulled out my .45. It was loaded with rounds that would punch a hole through an engine block and keep on going out the other side. I fired three rounds and the spider shrieked as it's metal flesh was penetrated. It's blood flowed freely and I ran past it, still firing shots into the it's body. When I got close I pulled out my lighter and the aerosole can. I held it up and created my own little flamethrower. The exposed flesh caught and the spider howled in pain. As the train lurched forward I jumped onto the back platform and turned, pulling an explosive device from my pack, along with the detonator. I was going to blow our only way back out, but it would kill the spider. Davis ran up and saw what was in my hands and looked at Eve and then me.

"What the fuck are you doing? You'll cut off our egress!"

I looked at him.

"But it will kill the spider."

I turned as the spider came into the tunnel moving at an incredible speed. I timed it right and threw the explosive. I misjudged the distance and it lodged itself into the armor of the spider. I lifted the detonator button and smiled, then waved to the spider. As I went to push the button, the train jerked and I was slammed into the railing, dropping the button. I looked at Eve as I stood.

"The door. Enter the code and get it open. 63982. Hurry."

I looked back at the spider who was gaining ground on the moving train. I took aim with my .45 and cracked my neck, letting out my breath. I began squeezing the trigger. The gunshots roared in the tunnel as bullets peirced the spider's flesh, and then, the explosive. The spider blew up into a giant fireball, flames rushing towards us. I stood stock still, waiting for death to come, when I heard a hiss and was yanked into the car. The door shut and the train jerked all over the place as it was pounded by the flames and shock wave of the blast. The ceiling from there on back to the entrance caved in, closing up the entrance down, because of the explosion. I looked up into Davis's face.

"Devon, you crazy son of a bitch, you ever do that again and I'll kill you myself."

I got to my feet and holstered my gun, walking past Eve. She reached out and grabbed my arm. I stopped and looked at her, then her hand, and walked towards the front car. There were maps, and blueprints hidden up there, and I intended on retrieving them before the train stopped.

Eve watched as Devon walked passed her all but basically brushing her off. She looked down at her hand and realized she was bleeding. She must have cut her hand on the controls to the old train. Davis handed her a bandage from a first aid kit on his vest. “Thanks,” she replied coyly and began to wrap up her hand. “No Problem,” Davis replied as he turned to walk away.

Tucking in the end of the bandage, she walked up to the front car and where Devon was. He was digging around in a drawer. Without looking up from what he is doing, “Are you okay?” Eve looked down at her hand. “It’s only a scratch.” She paused for a few moments. ”I need to ask you something.” Devon turned to her holding some papers. He lend against the main control desk. “Shoot.” Eve looked calm, but it did not last long before she lashed out at him. “Have you lost your bloody fucking mind? What in the hell do you think you were doing? You could have been killed back there!” She was standing not more than 2 feet from him and was about to slap him hard, but he caught her hand before she could bring it to connect with his face. Devon snatched her to him and pressed his body up to hers. She struggled against him wanting to push away but he continued to hold her tight. Turning her head away from him she wanted to avoid his gaze as all cost.

She just could not look into his eyes right now. “Eve, look at me, please.” She looked off to the floor as the trained jiggled back and forth as it continued on its decent. Wrapping his right arm around her waist he hugged her tighter and pulled her chin to face him with the other hand. She looked at him. She was not crying, but her eyes were moist and it was evident she was feeling some sort of emotional pain. “God damn it Devon! Why did you walk back into my life, now of all times? Why did you request me on this damn mission? WHY?… It is too soon…” Devon looked her into her eyes, “To soon for what?” He really didn’t give her much of a chance to answer before he kissed her. This time she did not refuse and she gave into him completely. Eve wrapped her slender arms around him and reciprocated his kiss. She moaned slightly as his hand left her chin and entwined in her hair. They stayed that way until the train came to a sudden halt.

As the train lurched to a stop I let go of Eve, snatching up the papers from the control panel. I turned and looked back at her.

"Look, I requested you because you are the best hacker there is. I need your skills to get into areas that are otherwise inaccessable. Of course, from what I've read, there are doors that require a special key, and no electronics what so ever. Thats where Davis comes in. He can do anything when it comes to mechanical systems. In my hand I have the layout of the hive."

Eve looked at me with pain in her eyes again.

"And what about you Devon? Why were you sent?"

I sighed and turned to look at the blueprints.

"Eve, it doesn't matter why I am here."

I was suddenly jerked around by my arm, and was forced to look Eve in the eyes.

"It does matter. To me it matters alot. You walked out of my life without so much as a good bye. How do you think that made me feel? I've thought about this for a long time Devon, if I were to see you again. I wanted to do nothing more then to punch you in the face, but I can't bring myself to do that. Tell me why you are on this mission."

I let go of the papers and stepped into her. Davis walked up to the doorway and watched us. I held Eve's gaze for as long as I could before looking out the windows at the platform.

"I am here to make sure that the secret of the viruses stays just that, a secret. My orders are to retrieve all traces and files of the T and G virus, destroy them, and eliminate Wesker, his body guard, and anyone else that he has working with him."

Davis cleared his throat.

"And what happens if you can do all that? What do you do then?"

I turned away from Eve, scooping up all the papers and putting them into my pack before moving to the door. Davis caught me by the arm and held me tight.

"Well, what happens then?"

I pulled my arm free from his grip, and pushed the button to open the doors.

"I have my mission and I will see it through. Those are my orders. If I fail, it will be because I'm dead."

“Well... if you die Devon, it will be because I killed you myself.” The tone in her voice could have cut through ice. She snatched up her pack and gun. She then cocked it back making sure it was still in working order. Davis sneered, “Unless I get him first.” Eve slammed the chamber shut on her 9mm and tucked it into her belt. She muttered under her breath as Devon and Davis stepped off the train. “Destroy all traces, hmm.” Her look turned smug as she climbed off the train herself.

She stayed closer to Devon this time working her way ahead of Davis. Devon was being cautious now and Eve did not blame him. Who knows what kinds of nasty creatures still remained down here. None of them had workable strains; they were all more like mutations. To put it simply their DNA was basically mush. She had seen creatures like that before. Egypt was crawling with them.

They continued walking down a long narrow passageway. Eve pushed her hair from her face as images of the passed flicked through her minds. She was standing in a chamber underneath what was left of the Sphinx. She had been sent there with a dual purpose. The agency sent her to find out if their reports were correct in Umbrella setting up a new lab there. She on the other hand took that opportunity to look for any traces of her brother. She had been passed information from a secret source that he had been spotted there. Unfortunately, she found no trace of him however the Umbrella Corp somehow found out she was there. She barely escaped with her life. Gretchen, Eve’s partner and best friend was not so lucky.

Eve was never caught or detected in anything she ever did. Being the only human to single handedly pass the Agencies rigorous stealth simulators she took pride in her skill. The incident in Egypt could only have indicated one thing, someone new she was coming. From that moment on, Eve vowed to seek out that traitor and destroy them.

Devon stopped in front of a set of metal double doors. They seemed to be for an old elevator. Devon pulled out a map and looked at it. Eve looked over his shoulder in that dark. The only light being that of Devon's flash light. "So now what?" Eve asked as she leaned over.

Wesker raises an eyebrow at Evangeline, then leads the way on through the mansion, lifting his PDA back in front of his eyes as he strides through the darkness. He stops suddenly, Evangeline almost slamming into his back, and he bends to examine the smashed remains of a chandelier on the floor, then glances over to discover disturbed dust mere feet away from the wreck. Smiling slightly, Wesker stands and turns to a swearing Evangeline. "It appears our friends had a bit of a close encounter here. I remind you to watch your step. Repairing your body, fun as it may be, would cost me precious time."
Wesker grins and turns away, heading directly for an open doorway. He stops, checks the damage done to the old wooden door, then lifts his PDA and continues on. "They came through here and.....well, well. What have we here?" Wesker lowers his PDA and studies the steep slope ahead of him. He turns to Evangeline and gestures back at the dark passageway. "It seems they've discovered our destination for us. This is very good news. It will save me needless searching." Wesker smiles again and continues softly. "Ready for a trip to the bowels of hell, my dear assistant?"
Wesker turns and takes one step towards the steep passageway, then throws himself to the side, his sidearm appearing swiftly in his hand as gunshots resound from the chasm. Wesker glances over to see Evangeline crouched against the other side of the passageway, her rifle in her hands, her eye pressed to the scope. Wesker drops to one knee, and aims down the passageway, scanning the darkness below, needing no night-vision scope to see the mayhem. "Spiders.....very interesting....."
A sudden flare, follwed by a hollow boom echoes up from the abyss, and Wesker shouts to Evangeline. "GET DOWN!!" Wesker flicks himself quickly to the side as a massive explosion of flames roars from the passage, the hot, fetid air blasting past him, throwing his shades off into the corner. As the flames die down slightly, Wesker leaps up and slides over to retrieve his shades. Rising to his feet as he settles his sunglasses back onto his face, he notices Evangeline staring at him. She opens her mouth to comment on the red glow of his eyes, then decides better for it. Rising to her feet, she joins Wesker as they look down into the flame-filled slope below them. Wesker holsters his Magnum, then crosses his arms over his chest. "Damn them."
Wesker turns away and heads for the exit, calling over his shoulder. "Come along, Eva. We haven't time to waste. We must find another way in before they cause far more damage. We must hurry."
Wesker heads for the main doors of the mansion, smiling slightly as he waits for the attack, knowing how much Evangeline hates it when he shortens her name to Eva. As he walks, Wesker runs through everything he knows about his ancestor, his position in Umbrella, his creation of the S.T.A.R.S unit in Racoon City.....
Wesker stops suddenly, eyebrows raised, then turns to stare at Evangeline, his look cutting her rant off. Grinning widely, Wesker pulls out a headset, jacks it into the back of his PDA, and places a call to the Marine CO at the Church.
"Major, it's Wesker. I need whatever blueprints you can find of the Police Headquarters in Racoon City. And I need them by the time I return. We have a problem that must be dealt with as soon as possible, before too much is ruined. I will be there in 10 minutes. Be ready for me."
Wesker pulls the jack from his PDA, pulls the headpiece from his ear, and heads for the main doors again, striding out into the night silently, Evangeline racing along behind to keep up with his long strides, questions flying....

The explosion knocked Evangeline onto the flat of her back. And for the first time in four years she saw Wesker without his sunglasses on. Rising to her feet she nearly asked, but as he put the shades back on she shut her mouth and decided not to. Trying to follow Wesker seemed rather tricky. At least for the moment anyways. Her legs were trembling, her feet felt like lead weights and her hands were shaking. God forbid she should have to shoot anything. She looked at the smoking hole they had been standing next to and wondered if any of the spiders Wesker had mentioned were going to come pouring out of there any second.
" ... Eva ... "
She watched as he plugged in his earplug and talked to the C.O., but she didn't hear anything he was saying. Her body was trembling again, only this time it was from fury.
"My name is EVANGELINE!"
She raced at his receding back. She jumped into a high kick that he dodged at the last second. She twisted around and caught him with a backhand to the face that knocked his sunglasses off again. Only this time he didn't scramble to put them back on. Instead he glared at her with his gleaming red eyes.
"I'm sorry; I had a moment of forgetfulness."
Evangeline shook her head. "You should've thought of that before hand."
He was trying to mollify her and she knew that. But she wasn't having any of it. She also knew that suddenly he was in a hurry to get to the old S.T.A.R.S. headquarters and that Devon had a good head start on them, but she didn't care about that either.
She aimed another kick at his head but this time he blocked it and punched her in the chest. Evangeline felt the air leave her lungs and she slammed into the ground, her hair coming loose from its usual ponytail.
"We do not have time for this!" He was shouting at her. Rising to her knees she struggled to get back on her feet.
"Your precious samples will still be there when we find a way in, Wesker."
He snatched her up from the floor and shook her like a rag doll. "Not if Devon destroys them all first!"
She fought desperately to get out of his grip. Her feet sought solid ground and it felt as though his hands were crushing the bones in her upper arms. Her foot kicked him in the knee, for all the good it did. Her military training had bettered her fighting skills but she was still no match for his sheer brute strength. Drawing her close to him, he pinned her arms to her sides. And then he squeezed. Pain shot through Evangeline's body and she screamed.

Wesker watches Evangeline closely through his red-tinged eyes, his shades no longer hiding them from her. He watches her closely, the infrared prosthesis in his left eye reading her as accurately as a vital stress monitor, his gaze fixed on her chest, her heart and lungs, reading the IR emissions there. His strength presses in around her ribcage, threatening to crush her delicate bones, sending shards of death through vital organs. As Evangeline struggles for breath, and mere moments before her ribs begins to crack, Wesker releases her and drops her to the ground. Standing over her, he points one long finger down at her, speaking softly. "We don't have the time for any of this, Evangeline. I haven't the time to repair all the damage I could do to you, and still hope to gain what I need to gain before Devon and his friends ruin everything. After this is over, should you still wish it, we will draw this to its final conclusion...."
Wesker's cool demeanor slips momentarily as he screams down at her. "BUT NOW IS NOT THE FUCKING TIME!!!"
Wesker calms himself almost immediately, straightening his clothing. He leans down and offers Evangeline a hand in getting to her feet. Evangeline glances up at his offered hand, one arm propping herself up from the ground, the other holding her aching chest. She raises her arm from her chest slowly, then slaps Wesker's hand away. "This isn't over, Albert. I owe you big for this, you prick. But I'll stick to my mission. That's what I do. Don't bother giving me any more of you kind of twisted help."
Wesker frowns slightly, then shrugs and turns away, bending to lift his glasses from the ground and checking them over before fitting them firmly back onto his face. He turns back, smiling ever so slightly. "Well, now that we sorted that out. Shall we continue?"
Evangeline glares hatred at him, then rolls over slightly to lift her rifle into her hands. Pressing the butt onto the ground, she levers herself into a standing position, then makes a deliberate show of cheking her weapon, the barrel aimed directly at Wesker's chest the entire time. She raises her gaze to his and smiles, sweetly sarcastic. "Let's go."
Wesker turns and moves off straight away, Evangeline close behind him. They stride quickly down the dark road and back into the city.

Evangeline trudged along side Wesker, silently fuming. Her ribs were still aching tremendously and her eyes were unfocused. She decided to stop thinking about Wesker before she pulled out her Glock and shot him in the back of the head. Frustrated she shook her head. That probably wouldn't kill him either. Not that she could actually bring herself to do it. Wesker was the closest thing she'd had to a boyfriend in years. Most men just didn't understand what 'top secret' meant. And it wasn't like she didn't want to tell them, she just couldn't. Those were the rules. The fact that she was sometimes gone for months at a time didn't exactly help in the relationship department either. Half the time she couldn't even remember where her own house was, and had to keep the address written down in her gear, so she could tell the cabbie where to go from the airport. Not that she was in home port often anyways. Eight out of twelve months of the year she was out on mission with Wesker. It didn't leave her with a whole lot of down time, but a job was a job. And the fat paycheck she got every week didn't bother her any, either. Not that she had time to spend any of it. But not spending it meant that she had a savings account that would allow her to retire whenever she wanted. Not that she would get to live long after she retired, either. When the government says top secret, they mean top secret.
"What are you thinking about?"
Evangeline raised a brow in his general direction and then looked back at the dark road.
"I don't see how that's any of your business."
Wesker chuckled lowly. "Don't be such a sour puss. We've got nothing better to do until we get back to the old church. Might as well talk about something."
Evangeline sighed. "Ok. I was thinking that my life sucks. I have no boyfriend, no friends, I never see my parents anymore, I don't even know where my house is ... "
She sighed again. "God must hate me."
Wesker laughed. That didn't happen very often. "Oh, come on now, Evangeline. It can't be that bad. What happened to that one guy you were dating? Marcus."
Evangeline's eyebrows rose into her hairline.
"That ended two years ago, Albert. He broke up with me right after we left for Antarctica. Fucker sent me an e-mail to tell me. Couldn't call me and tell me, or even wait until we got back and break up with me to my face. Instead he sends me an e-mail."
Wesker paused for a moment. "Oh, well, what about Daniel? He seemed to be an upstanding kind of fellow."
Evangeline shook her head with a short laugh.
"He's dead."
"Oh. I'm sorry."
"Don't be. He managed to break up with me, too, before he died."
"How did he die?"
Evangeline rested the palms of her hands on the Glocks tapping the butts lightly with her finger tips and smiled.
"Drive by shooting. They never caught the person who did it."
Now it was Weskers turn to raise his brows.
"Court?"
"Married with two kids."
"Franklin?"
"Divorced and paying butt tons of alimony to his ex-wife."
"Peter?"
"Currently in rehab, looking to get out in about 2 more months."
"Benjamin?"
"Hooking. The modeling world doesn't want him anymore, and he needs to make money somehow."
Wesker whistled softly. "Jake?"
"Happily engaged to his new boyfriend." She stopped in the middle of the street and turned to face him. "You remember them all, don't you?"
Wesker looked uncomfortable and shrugged it off. "I remember everything." They rounded a corner and as the stepped off the curb, the old church came into view. The Marines guarding the front entrance had been slacking off, taking a cigarette break and once Evangeline and Wesker came into view, they dropped their butts and snapped to attention. Evangeline pushed the doors open, stepping inside.
"At ease, boys."

Wesker follows Evangeline into the church without any recognition to the guards posted at the door. Once inside, Wesker watches Evangeline seat herself on one of the pews, rubbing her eyes a little in an effort to clear them after the explosion, and the fight. Wesker turns with a little sigh to the CO and speaks quietly. "I'd ask your men to be a little more aware of what is going on about them, Major. We've just begun in this little nightmare, and from what I and the Lieutenant Colonel have just seen, your men would do well to keep their wits about them, or they will all die."
Wesker turns and looks about the church quickly, then looks back at the CO. "Now, where are the blueprints I requested. I have little time to waste."
The CO clears his throat quietly, then shuffles about a bit as he answers. "We have men on it, sir. They haven't returned yet, but they are on their way."
Wesker frowns deeply at the CO, then turns and strides for his personal quarters, speaking loudly over his shoulder as he exits. "Send those men straight in to see me when they get here, Major. I'll be preparing for the mission ahead. Gather up any men who wish to accompany us, and get them ready. Tell them to pack light, but bring plenty of firepower...." Wesker stops at the door to his room and turns back, that slight smile touching at his lips again. "I have a feeling they are going to need it."
Wesker glances once at Evangeline, but thinks better of whatever is on his mind, and disappears into his rooms without another word....

Evangeline leaned back in the pew, closing her eyes. She still had white spots floating in front of her vision, but they were fading. Wesker went into his sleeping quarters, leaving her out here to deal with the never ending incompetence of the United States Marine Corps. It was no wonder the Navy had to carry their asses everywhere.

was an even better one. She looked at the watch her father had given her for her last birthday, 3 weeks after her last birthday, actually. She'd been in France on her birthday, on another mission with Wesker. France really wasn't a bad place to spend one's birthday, if you weren't out in the middle of no where collecting samples in an abandoned laboratory.
She was starting to get a little ticked off. Wesker had radioed in for those blueprints an hour ago, and the Marines still weren't back yet. Rising from the pew, she headed for the C.O. and stopped in front of him with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Where are your men? And why aren't they back yet?"
The C.O. looked at one of his warrant officers and Evangeline raised a brow.
"Is something wrong, Captain?"
The C.O. cleared his throat roughly. "They uh, they're not responding, ma'am."
Evangeline was peeved.
"And how long have they been out of communication?"
The C.O. scratched his head. "'Bout twenty minutes. Ma'am."
Evangeline's temper nearly exploded.
"And you didn't think to say something to one of us?!" Evangeline stalked away from the C.O. and hollered at the top of her lungs. "Wesker!" Wesker opened the door and looked out at her without saying anything.
"These fucking incompetents have lost their Marines. I'm going out to find them." She hefted the rifle onto her back and headed for the door. "Not alone you're not." Evangeline stopped at the doors and looked back at him. "Excuse me?" Wesker started walking towards her. "You're entirely too valuable to be wandering off on your own. If you died, I'd have to spend another 4 years training your replacement."
Cold fury danced in Evangeline's eyes. "You're lucky you're my commanding officer. Otherwise I'd shoot you in the face." Evangeline stalked out the doors without another word and slammed them closed behind her. Wesker looked around the church. "Corporal!" Alex snapped to attention. "Yes, sir?" Wesker pointed at the door. "Follow her." Alex looked a little uncomfortable. "Uh .. I'd rather not be shot in the face, sir." Wesker snapped. "Just do it!" Alex bolted for the door and out into the city. Looking down the route that Evangeline had taken, he kept a safe distance behind her.

"Corporal!" Alex Brown heard Wesker's booming voice and dropped what he was doing to snap to attention. "Yes Sir?" He was asked to follow the mysterious chick with a bad attitude and it made him slightly uneasy... a chick like that would cut his balls off without even thinking twice if he pissed her off. But he followed his orders and slung his sniper rifle over his shoulder before bolting for the door and following the woman out into the city. Some action at last! His mind shrieked with joy, over coming his fear of the feline predator he was trailing. He drew his side arm and hunched slightly as he trotted after her. He came to a few steps behind her and kept up with her confident strides easily...

I looked up from the blueprints and around the doors when Eve came up. "So, now what?" She asked. I began running my hands around the center of the door when I felt a slight indent in the shapr of a circle. I looked at Eve and smiled. "Magic." I said to her, then gently pressed the circular indent. The doors hissed and opened with a metallic groan to a large lift. Unlike an elevator, this moved in a diagonal direction, vice straight up and down. It was completely open on all four sides, save for metal railings. I moved over and hit the green down button. The doors behind us hissed closed, then clicked loudly as it relocked itself. Another of Umbrella's safety protocols. I was still amazed that with all the fail safes, the virus still had managed to get loose. We were going to have to take extra precautions. The lift grumbled it's way down to the lowest level of the Hive. I turned to the two of them and said, "Once inside I'm not really sure what we will see, or come across. The last time I was here I was a child, so things are coming and going inside my head. We will need to be extremely careful of what we do in here. We cannot take the chance that there are still things down here that may be infected by the viruses. And we certainly cannot allow them to get out if there are. This is going to be a complete destruction. One of my bags is packed with numerous high explosive devices. Once this hog stops, we will be placing them through out the hive at all the structural supports, and in the central computer room. We are also to destroy any surviving creatures that may still be roaming the facility. My father and his team never were able to kill them all." Eve looked at me. "You mean to tell me there might be flesh eating creatures still down here?" Her voice was filled with anger as much as with fear. Davis twitched and said "Jesus Christ." They both had good reason to fear the dark down here. No night light in the world would keep us safe. It would only act as a beacon. The lift grounded to a halt and I looked at them. "Be ready for anything. We don't know whats down here. Lets just hurry and plant these explosives. Maintain constant radio contact. At all times. I want to know where the both of you are. Here." I took my pack from Davis and pulled out some devices and handed them to Eve, and then gave some to Davis. "All you need to do is push it down onto any surface, and hit these two buttons." I indicated the buttons and took another comm set from my bag before closing it. I stepped closer to Eve and handed it to her. She looked at it and began putting it on. "I mean it darlin'. No need for radio silence down here. There is too much concrete and steel for anyone to hear our conversation. We ready?" Eve nodded, and so did Davis. I turned and pushed in the same place as the doors above us, and they hissed open. There were three passageways. To the left was the bio lab, to the right was the genetic engineering and testing labs. Straight down led to the central computer, security, and control rooms. In the main control room was the center pillar, the backbone of the entire complex. When that central pillar is destroyed, the entire complex will come crashing down. I motioned for Davis to go left, and Eve to go right. I spoke before they were out of sight. "Place your explosives in the places I marked on your maps, then get your asses back to this junction. I'll tell you where to meet me from there. Any signs of trouble you get me on the comm. I'm not kidding. There is some ugly shit that went on down here alon time ago. First sign of trouble, call me. I'll come running." Davis nodded and left. Eve hung there for a moment and I mouthed the words "I love you." to her then walked down the center passageway. The lights still worked so I removed the flashlight from my gun. I quickly reached another door and looked around. There was a small window allowing me to get a look inside. I glanced quickly, then entered a security code on the keypad. The door began to click, then popped open. I pushed it open with my gun extended in front of me. It was dead silent, and the air was stagnant. Nothing. I found myself in the security center. I walked slowly around the room searching for any sign of anyone being here. I found nothing out of the ordinary, and moved to the security monitors. They still worked, and I watched Davis and Eve make their way towards their destinations. I pushed a couple buttons and switched my view to the passageways that I still had to transverse. Everything looked clear. Davis's voice came through my ear piece. "I'm in and have begun planting the explosives." I pushed the comm button, waited for the click and spoke. "Good, make sure you place some on any supports that look like they are of any importance. Same goes for you too Eve. Eve, you copy that?" It was silent. "Eve, do you copy?" Again, no answer. I got worried. "Davis, continue on with what you are doing. I'm going after Eve." The comm clicked and Davis's voice came over. "Gotcha boss." I turned to go back to the juncture when the comm clicked again. "Keep your shirt on Devon. I was checking the computers here in the lab. I'm fine. My charges are set, I'm just trying to find out why this is so damned important. It's only a virus for Christ's sake. Wait a second..." The comm clicked off and was silent for a few seconds before Eve's voice came over the line. "Devon, when were you planning on telling us that your father was actually a scientist for the Umbrella Corp.?" The line went silent and I stopped dead in my tracks. How could she of known that? There was no possible way for her to know that, unless... "What are you doing Eve?" The line crackled. "Research you big dummy. I am the number one hacker in over 10 countries. It's easy for me, and this terminal is still linked to their mainframe computers. So, care to explain?" I closed my eyes and sighed. "My father was the lead scientist for the Corporation. It was my family's way of keeping tabs on their work on the virus. He got involved deeply with the research and found himself stuck. He got himself promoted to Head Researcher, and was put in charge of the growing project of making genetically enhanced human beings. He developed the technology that has made not only Wesker, but his little body guard Evangeline the way they are. In fact, my father over saw the operations that Wesker had done. So, my father had access to every last shred of paper the Corp had about the viruses and the Raccoon City incident. As I've told you both before, it is my family's legacy that we keep the viruses from ever again being used. My ancestor Leon, made a pact with Jill Redfield that they would stop Umbrella at every corner. Jill's brother Christopher was in on it too. After Wesker recovered from his surgeries, he disappeared for a little while. When he returned I was a young kid. Maybe 10. It was down here that my father met up with Wesker. That was the last time I had been here. Wesker hadn't been granted access to these lower levels as my father had been. He never knew how to get down here, and my father never documented it anywhere in his files, that he kept at his office at the Corp. He did however, keep some at home. He called it our secret place. Anyway, I had been allowed to roam around while my father did his research. i knew the passcodes for the labs, and all the doors down here. I wandered off into a secured area, alone, and found myself in a dark room. I had no light with me, but I could hear something moaning. When it came into the light from the hallway I screamed. It was a zombie. Apparently left over from after the nuclear explosion. I ran, leaving the door open. I had no idea that there were rooms off the dark one that had over a hundred zombies. Some of my father's team members came to my aid, and I was able to escape. Some of them did not. They were bitten, and quickly became like the other zombies. The rest of the surviving team was able to contain the zombies and lock them back into the room. I was brought to the control room and got yelled at by my father. Shorlty there after he left me there and went up into the mansion to greet Wesker. Apparently, there were other plans. Wesker shot my father in the chest with the Magnum he carries with him. My dad was dead before he hit the ground. I watched on the security monitors. So this mission is personal for me. Wesker, and his family name will die with him." I continued on down the corridor and came to a metal door with no handles. I began feeling around the door jam looking for a button or anything to make the door open when the comm clicked. "So tell me Boss, how are we going to get out of here after we set these charges?" I slid my hand down the right side of the door frame and felt a slight bump. I pushed on it and it opened outward exposing a digital pad. It was a touch screen with a bunch of letters and numbers. As I recalled the password I spoke into the comm. "Davis, there are three ways in, and out of here. So far I have destroyed one." Eve's voice was next. "And the other two?" I punched in the passcode and the door before me opened. Cautiously I stepped inside of the central computer room. I knew there was no way anything could get in here without the door being open, but I still felt it better safe then sorry. I cleared the room fast and then answered Eve. "The other two lead directly into Raccoon City. One comes out under the hospital, the other the Raccoon City Police Headquarters. Once we are done here, we will go out the RCPD route. There will be no way in or out of here after that. Nothing for Wesker to get his hands on." I released the button on the comm and began punching at the keyboard. Eve was right. It was a direct link to Umbrella's mainframe. I began typing in commands and the screen flickered and brought up all the files of the T-Virus. I sifted through the different experiments, to get an idea of what may have been down here. That was the one thing that my father's files never contained. When I was satisfied, I placed all the explosives I needed to, then headed for the Control room. It took me no time to get there, and Eve's voice came over the comm. "I'm done, and heading back to the junction." Davis came on after her. "So am I. I see Eve. Where do we go from here boss?" I opened the control room door and went inside. "Go down the corridor, take your second left. Go three doors down then take the passage on your right. I'm in the 5th door on the left. And be careful. I have to open some doors for us to be able to get out of here and I will be opening some that have been shut for well over 50 years." They both acknowledged me and I moved to the control panel placing the explosives where they needed to be. Then I moved to the central pillar, placing some explosives there too. I saved two charges for our escape route and placed them in my pack, and went back to the control panel. I placed my hand on a button that unlocked half of the complex and closed my eyes, taking a deep breath as I pushed it down. Lights on the board above the control panel began to go from red to green as the doors were electronically unlocked. All the doors opened on their own and I waited a few moments for Eve and Davis to arrive. They did not disappoint. I nodded to the two of them and then hit the other button. Same process. The lights changed and I held my eyes shut listening. Silence. I let out a deep breath and looked at the two of them. Eve was looking at me with her eye brow raised. "What was that all about?" I patted her shoulder as I stepped by her. "I was listening to see if we were alone. Come on, it's time to go." They followed me down the corridor. We came to a "Y" intersection. To the left, the containment area where they kept most of the test subjects. To the right, one of the two exits. We came to the one that led to the hospital, and I stopped long enough to place more explosives. I had two charges left. They would blow the last exit after we had gotten through it. The only problem was that we had to go through the area I had come across the zombies. Even though it had been years ago, my dreams were still haunted by them. I was cautious as me reached the door. I stopped briefly and turned my gaze over my shoulder at them, reaching my hand back towards Davis. "Give me the MP-5." Davis took it from his shoulder and handed it to me. "We are going to go through this quickly. Stay close. And you better keep your guns ready." I opened the door and moved through the room as fast as I could. When I reached the other side there were three doors. I hadn't remembered there being any doors, but then again, when I was here last it had been dark. The whole room was lit brightly now. I looked at the map and then chose the door on the left. When it opened, it was dark. I flicked on the MP's flashlight, illuminating the way. Davis and Eve went in before me, and I stepped inside. Only, the door wouldn't close when I hit the button. I tried a second and a third time before Eve noticed. "What's wrong?" I shook my head, and thought "Come on, come on." When nothing still happened I looked at her. "The god damned door won't close." Eve came back and tried herself. Still nothing. I grabbed her hand. "Fuck it. We have to go. Now." As we traveled down the passage I heard a hiss come from behind us, and it stopped me in my tracks. Eve slammed into me, and I spun around, gun pointed towards the door. Davis went to speak but I shushed him and squinted my eyes as I listened hard. I heard a few more doors, some closer then the others, hiss as they too opened. There was unmistakable moaning and groaning. I felt the shiver run up and down my spine, and my finger tightened on the trigger. "Prepare yourselves, we are going to have some company." Eve gasped slightly. "Wesker?" I shook my head and the look on my face said it all. "No. Leftovers." Davis looked confused. "Leftovers? What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I didn't have a chance to answer. The light left the end of the passage as it was crammed with mindless bodies. They looked like decomposing bodies and I could smell the stench of them all the way down the hallway.

PostSubject: Re: Resident Evil: Omega   Resident Evil: Omega Icon_minitimeThu Nov 27, 2008 8:00 pm

I heard davis behind me. "Holy fucking Christ. What are those things." I started to back away down the passage. "The Raccoon City nightmare. You two hurry to the exit door. I'll be right behind you, trying to keep them off our asses." Eve turned and ran ahead of Davis. I cracked my neck, took a deep breath, and squeezed the trigger. The walls of the passageway lit up with the muzzle flashes, and the bullets began tearing away at the rotting flesh, causing the smell to get worse. I barely heard Eve yell that the door was locked over the gun fire. I stopped shooting and ran to her, almost shoving her out of the way. I started pressing the keys on the security pad. The code kept beeping denied. Davis started to fire down the passageway, doing a good enough job keeping the zombies away from us. I pulled Eve close to me. "Hook up and get this door open, pronto or we're all dead meat, literally." I stepped next to Davis and squeezed the trigger again. The bullet casings clattered along the floor as they were ejected from the gun. And from out of the corner of my eye, lit up by the gun fire I saw the other door. The exit door. I must have read the map wrong. I stopped firing and went to the panel and punched in the code. It came back with a green light and "GRANTED" flashed at me. The door slid open and I stuck the light into it. There was nothing but a long sleek corridor. No windows, doors, or anything between us and the door into the old police station. The corridor was at least a half of a mile long. We could make it out easily. I turned to see the door Eve worked on opening. She was smiling and winked at me. "Wrong door Eve. This way." I went to go through the door when I saw the arms reach out and grab hold of Eve. She screamed and I yelled out. "NO!" I moved forward and my fist flew forward, hitting the rotting flesh on a zombie's face. I felt the bone crack under my strength. It reeled back and I grabbed Eve pulling her behind me by the hand. Davis was hot on our trail. After we were all in the corridor I let go of Eve. "Keep going. I have to place the explosives." Davis looked at me like I was crazy, and put an arm around Eve and led her down further. I ran back towards the door and put one device on one side, and then the last on the other side. The blast from both would devistate the tunnel. I fired more rounds into the oncoming fray, then took off running. I could barely see the two of them as I came around the bend. I, stopped, looked back and took aim on the security pad that would close the door and fired. Some Zombies had already come through. At least ten of them. I fired and destroyed the panel. The door shut halfway and I dropped the gun down a few inches and my heart sank right into my stomach. I fired some more shots and ran. I yelled to them "Blow it! Blow it!" I heard Davis mention something about me, and I yelled again. "That is an order soldier. Blow the god damned thing!" Then everything went to hell. Dirt and pieces of metal flew by me, cutting my skin. My ears rung, and the air was full of dust. The tunnel shook for a few seconds after the initial explosion, due to all the explosive we had placed. My lungs hurt from inhaling some of the blast air, and I began to cough. I could hear Eve and Davis, but their voices were muffled. I slowly got to my feet and stumbled away from the debris. Davis's hands caught me and he drug me to a clear spot, helping me gather my senses. The entire hive had been destroyed, and I hoped, all of it's damned secrets with it. Eve was still running off at the mouth. Bitching me out for almost getting myself killed I imagined. The dust settled and the ringing began to die. I used what I could of my hearing to find out if any zombies had made it through the blast. I didn't hear anything, then got to my feet with Davis's help. Once I was sure that no zombies got through I nodded towards the door at the end of the tunnel, and began moving. My head felt like it was being split in two with an axe, and my lungs still burned from the blast, but other then that, I was alright. When we got to the door I slung the MP-5 over my shoulder and dug around in my pocket. There was an indent in the door below the handle. Obviously a keyhole, but unlike anything the two of them had ever come across. I pulled a cynlindrical object from my pocket and slid it into the keyhole. I twisted it left, and pushed it in further, then turned it to the right. The lock clicked, and the door popped open. I let out a sigh of relief that at least this part of this mission was over. The hive was destroyed, along with any zombie that was left. A good quarter of the tunnel had collapsed with the blast, so no worries about zombies that way. I smiled at Eve. "I always told you that there would never be a dull moment with me." I pushed the door all the way open and stepped out, with the pair following me. I scanned the room with my gun in fromt of me. I could hear voices off to the side, and below us. I put my hand up for them to stop, and motioned to Davis that I was going to take a look. He nodded and I moved to the edge of the floor we had come out on. There were 10 marines, all armed. Wekser's recon group. I slid back and mouthed "shit" to Davis, then indicated the marines. I quietly pulled the magazine from the gun and checked it before sliding it back into place. I nodded toward the edge and moved so I could see them again. I readied my gun and yelled down to them. "Drop your weapons, or I will kill you. Do it." I heard a deep voice from below. "Capt. Kennedy? Is that you sir?" He knew me. I looked again. "Hello to you to Stevens. Have your men do as I say. You know I'll kill all of you otherwise." I heard a chuckle, and then the shuffling of the men as they moved to take cover. Then the same deep voice again. "You know I can't do that Devon. Why not just come on down and we'll talk. Wesker doesn't want you dead. He just wants to know what you know." I took another quick peek to assess where the men had settled down to, then dropped back behind my own cover. "Oh, just like he only wanted to talk to my father before he murdered him in cold blood? Come on, tell me, you were there Stevens." I heard a the men chamber rounds into their guns. "Devon, Wesker is past that now. Just come out." I looked at Eve, then Davis. "I told you to drop your weapons. Since you haven't done so, I'm sorry." I spun and lifted myself just high enough to see the Marines. I popped off a few shots, hitting Stevens in the right side of his chest, causing him to drop his weapons and fall to the ground. I dropped back down as bullets tore past us, and began destroying the wood and stone around us. When the bullets stopped, Davis and myself opened fire again, killing 4 marines. Two head shots, and two fatal injuries. Five left. We dropped down again and let the bullets go as they would. When it stopped, Eve got up and shot two more marines. Three left. I motioned to Davis and Eve to stay put, and I got up dropping the last of the marines to the ground. All in all, 3 of them would survive. Stevens being one of them. I reloaded my gun, and made my way down to the ground, to check the marines. Eve and Davis followed behind me. As we moved I pointed around. "You two go and check on the ones over there." I indicated to my left. "I'm going to check on Stevens." I found him about 10 feet or so from where I had seen him drop. He had been trying to get away, I walked up and rolled him onto his back. "I told you to drop the guns. That's all you would of had to do. Now look at you." I shook my head. "Wesker, where is he operating out of?" Stevens spit a mouthful of blood into my face. "Fuck you Kennedy." I reared back with the .45 and slammed it down into his face, splraying blood everywhere. "Where the fuck is he Stevens? Is he worth dying over?" Stevens turned his head and blew blood bubbles. "The old church. He's in the old church." I stood up and looked down at him. "Thank you. See how easy that was?" I walked over to Eve first. "What do we have?" She tried to help the marine as best she could and then looked up at me. "His name is Green. He'll live. Guy has a wife and kid. I'm glad you didn't kill him. Maybe they'll send him home to be with his family now." I nodded and went to Davis. "Will they make it?" He nodded. "Yeah, he'll make it. Name's Smithson." I patted Davis on the shoulder and looked down at the marine. "Don't worry, I'm not a monster. You'll live to see tomorrow." I looked around again and then spoke loud enough for the two of them to hear me. "Gather what ever ammo and weapons you desire. Then we're out of here." I began gathering up ammunition, and a few side arms. When I came across a few fire grenades, I couldn't pass them up. I left the three surviving marines with all their weapons, and we started to leave. As we walked away I heard scratching coming from the second level. I stopped and turned, cocking my head to the side, then began to take a few steps back. When I saw the first few rats come flying off to the ground my heart stopped. I had planned for the zombies, but had not given any thought to anything else. I began to open fire, emptying the magazine that was in the MP-5. I dropped the emtpy and turned grabbing Eve and Davis. "Lets get the fuck out of here." They followed me down the street and up into a building. It was still intact and we ran to the roof shutting every dorr behind us. These rats were huge. We lept from roof top to roof top until we got to one that had a high ledge. I slid behind it and sat with my back against the wall, panting. Davis and Eve looked at me in disbelief. "What the hell were those things Boss?" I tried to catch my breath. "Rats. God damned fucking rats." Davis shook his head. Eve had heard my stories, so it was not so much of a shock to her, as it was to him. "Rats, zombies. What the fuck have you gotten me into Devon?" It was the first time he called me by my first name in a long time. I looked at the gun in my hand and checked it to make sure it was fully loaded before I racked one into the chamber and looked at Davis. "The viruses we have been sent to destroy are what cause the zombies, and those monster rats. As long as we are not bitten, or injected, we'll be fine." Davis checked his gear and looked at me. "You're telling me that if any of us get bitten we won't be ok? Why the fuck won't we be okay?" I looked him dead in the eyes. "Thats exactly what I'm telling you solider. Thats how the virus gets spread. All it takes is one bite..." I stopped speaking and got a look of deep realization on my face. "Fuck. We left live marines down there. God damn it." Eve looked at me now. "What is it?" I looked at her. "Now we'll have zombies too. Three of them to start. And if I know Wesker, and Umbrella, they will be sending more and more people down here. Not to mention they will want to transport specimins back to their own labs. Who knows the shit we're going to have to clean up." Davis put his hand up. "Whoa there Boss. What's this we shit?" I turned my gaze to him. "Yes, we. The three of us. That was part of the deal. We destroy ALL traces remember. That includes the clean up should anything get out." Davis was about to speak when there was some gun shots fired off in the distance. I looked at them with a quizzical look. "What the fuck." I waved my hand to keep them down and lifted myself up to see over the top of the ledge. There was nothing. Then another gun shot. I kept searching in the direction they came from. I didn't look at them, but I spoke to them. "It's coming from the police station. Must be the marines we left there." Then I saw her in the distance. She had a single marine with her, and they were both shooting behind them. Evangeline. This meant only one thing. I'd have to kill her first. She had no real beef with me, so I would be ok until I went for Wesker. Then I saw the mass of rats chasing them. Big fuckers too. I waited until the pair ran by me, and then I lobbed a grenade down into the pack of rats. It's blinking red light attracted them to it, and they all converged on it like it was raw meat. Evangeline yanked the marine behind an old car as the fire grenade exploded, killing all of the rats. Rat chunks flew all over the place and burned to nothingness. I looked around the car then saw Evangeline drawing her gun. I ducked back down just in time as she opened fire. I counted until the shots stopped, then her voice cut the air. "Fuck you, Kennedy." I looked at Eve. "That's twice today." I looked back over and yelled down, mockingly. "You're welcome Eva!" She screamed back at me. "I'll see your ass burning in hell!" I yelled back just as quickly. "You first, sweetheart!" She opened fire again. This time the bullets came real close to me and destroyed the bricks near my head. Again I yelled down to her. "You missed princess!" When I didn't get a response I chanced a peek and saw her dragging the marine down the street and around a corner out of sight. I dropped back down and looked at Eve. "Ready for your big part lover? I need you to find a way to jam their comms. Otherwise we'll be up to our nuts in zombies before the end of the day." Eve smirked. "Speak for yourself there cowboy. I'll see what I can do." She gave me a quick smile, and I turned to Davis. "You my friend, post up somewhere you can see us, and the doors to the church. Nothing goes in, or comes out. If it does, snipe it." Davis nodded then took off. "Gotcha Boss." I looked back over the ledge towards the police station, then dropped back down behind the ledge, thinking to myself, "What the hell did I get us into?"

“Speak for yourself there cowboy. I'll see what I can do." Eve flashed Devon a quick smile and wiped a stream of blood from under his left eye. As Devon started giving Davis instructions, Eve grabbed a pair of binoculars from her pack. She began scanning the area. The marines had set up a satellite communications link on a small tower behind the church. That was most likely Wesker’s main link to Umbrella and now Eve’s primary target. “I need you to get me down there.” She looked at Devon and pointed at the tower. Devon looked at her quizzically. “What do you need me too do?” She smiled and shrugged, “Just create a little disturbance to draw those 4 jarheads outta the way, so I can get to that dish.” Devon mocked her, “Why cant you just do that little Houdini trick of yours and spook right past them?” Eve shook her head, “I am good, love but not that fucking good. I mean look!” She tosses the binoculars to him and he peered through getting a better layout of the situation. Four marines stood at all cardinal points of the perimeter. Two of the marines were smoking and one was smacking his lips, probably eating something. All of them had modified M16’s strapped over their shoulders and a few others were draped with variety of other small weapons. “We need to be quiet about this.” Devon nodded in agreement.
Eve reached in her pack and pulls out a self-cocking pistol plcr002 crossbow with metal body. A low whistle escaped Devon’s lips, “Whoa, what other kinds of toys you have in there?” Eve winked but didn’t say anything as she pulled out 3 arrows and handed them to Devon. He was already fondling her toy and getting the feel for it. “Is this thing quiet?” Eve nodded, “It will get the job done. See that snow drift over there?” She pointed to the slope about 500 yards from the guards. Devon nodded and knew exactly what he was supposed to do. “You think this will reach that?” Eve chuckled, “That thing reaches 30 meters, if you cant hit that from here, you are blind.” Devon smirked. “You be careful Doll, don’t go getting that pretty ass spanked.” Eve tightened her belt pack and slid her bigger pack off her shoulders. She needed to be as agile as possible if she was going to sneak her link device onto their satellite. “Don’t worry, they don’t know I am coming this time.”
Devon informed Davis of their plans and Eve began to wiggle her ass over the ledge and down to her hiding spot. Now it was up to Devon to get them out of her way. He loaded the bow and shot at the drift. The arrow moved through the air without so much as a whistle. It buried itself deep within the snow and within seconds the drift started to avalanche down the hillside. The sound of snow clumps falling and the snapping of tree branches caught the guards attention. Three of them scurried away to check it out, they left a young corporal to guard the gate to the dish. Eve rolled her eyes, “There always has to be one.” She slinked her way into position and within a few minutes and before Devon even realized it Eve was standing right behind the 4th guard. Eve looked up and could barely make out Devon peaking over the ledge at her. Her ear piece chimed, “Will you quit fucking around and do what you have to and get the hell out of there?!?” Eve kissed her leather-gloved hand and blew him a kiss. She could tell he was fuming. Just then the other three guards came around the corner. “I told you it was just a slide. You guys are jumpy about every fucking thing.” The biggest of the three men replied, “Yeah, well you never can be too sure about this place.”
Devon’s voice squeaked in Eve’s earpiece again just as she was sticking the link box on the back of the dish, “Will you hurry the fuck up? Get out of there NOW!” Eve ducked behind a large rock just as the other guards joined their lonely buddy. Devon lost sight of her and started to panic. “Eve, where are you? Are you there? Do you copy?” There was no answer, “Eve? God Damnit! Answer me!” Eve brushed some snow off her shoulders and some of it fell on Devon’s head, “You don’t have to yell, I am right here.” Devon spun around, “Damn you, don’t do that to me. You are going to give me a fucking heart attack.” Eve sat down and opened her bracer and PDA. She started an uplink the Umbrella’s main satellite system. While setting up the explosive earlier, she had acquired a few more interesting toys. She had managed to hack into Umbrella’s mainframe and decoded over 92% of their main communications passwords. Seems that even Umbrella had problems with changing their passwords. When will people ever learn, as long as there is a lock out there, there will be someone better to crack it. Just as Eve was loading the disk into her bracer, Davis came through on thier devices reporting on Eva’s shampoo. They got a few laughs on that and Eve continued on her work. Within about 30 minutes all of the Laptops, satellite links and communications that used Umbrella crypto was rendered useless. The only communications still in working order was those belonging to Davis, Eve, Devon and any commercial cell satellite phones in the area.

PostSubject: Re: Resident Evil: Omega   Resident Evil: Omega Icon_minitimeThu Nov 27, 2008 8:07 pm

Evangeline trekked down the abandoned road at a quick pace. It seemed as though the very air had changed. It felt like the temperature had dropped another twenty degrees. There was danger lurking now, she could feel it. Her PDA flashed the location of the old police headquarters and she hooked a left. She had lied earlier when she'd told Wesker that there were no mutations. She did have mutations. Just not the kind that he was looking for. Her hearing was super-human, just like her reflexes. She also had a sort of ESP that told her what was waiting for her around the corner. But Wesker knew all that already. It had taken the first six months and a whole lot of scrapes for him to finally trust her 'women's intuition', as he, jokingly, called it. Six months of walking into trouble after she had just told him not to turn that way. He could be stubborn and single minded sometimes.
The corporal behind her was having no trouble keeping up with her pace. The police headquarters had nearly been destroyed. Only the southwest corner of the building was still standing. How they were going to find a way into the Hive from here was beyond her. Wesker's voice crackled in the earbud of her comm. "You're there." Evangeline pushed a small button on the collar around her throat.
"Yes, thank you, Captain Obvious." She paused for a moment and spoke again. "You're tracking me?" Wesker's irritation could be felt through the comm. "Of course I am." Evangeline snapped back at him. "Well then track the M.I.A.'s while you're at it!"
"I already have. Green is ten feet at your two o'clock and Smithson is thirty paces at your twelve." Evangeline motioned for Brown to check Green and she went straight ahead. Thirty paces later she stopped and looked around. There was nobody there. She glanced back at Brown and he held up his hands, confused. Nothing. No Smithson and no Green. Evangeline pressed the button again.
"There's nobody here, Wesker. No bodies, no nothing." Halfway across town Weskers fist hit a pew. "Open your eyes, for the love of God, woman! Find them!" Evangeline's temper rose and her tone spoke volumes.
"I am telling you there is noth-" Something moved off to her left and she whipped out her Glock, letting off a spray of bullets. Brown dropped the comm that he'd been picked off the ground and put his hands straight into the air. He didn't want to die today and the business end of her Glock was not the place to be if he wanted to continue living. Evangeline breathed heavily, almost panting.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?!", she screamed at him. Brown didn't respond, he just eyed her gun. She clicked on the safety and holstered her weapon. Brown relaxed visibly. "I, uh .. sorry. I found Green's comm. There's blood on it. And it looks like it might have been chewed on." After several long seconds Evangeline realized that Wesker was howling her name into her comm. Sighing she pushed the hair from her eyes and hit the button.
"I'm here. You can stop yelling now." Poorly concealed relief could be heard in his voice. "What the hell happened?" She glared at Brown before answering.
"The good corporal here moved and nearly got his head blown off. We found Green's comm. Still no sign of Smithson though." Something fluttered in the breeze and landed on the toe of her boot. She knelt down, picking it up. It was a photo. Green with his wife and daughter. There was blood on the photo as well. She passed it to Brown and stood. He looked at the picture for a moment and handed it back to her. "I didn't even know he had a kid. Did you?" Evangeline shook her head.
"I never know anything about any of you except name, rank and history with the military. Everything else is worthless information to me. There's no point in making friends with any of you. You'll probably just die anyways." Brown stared at her, amazed and almost felt sorry for her. "It must be really lonely being you." Evangeline whipped around, the butt of her rifle busting open his forehead and knocking him to the ground. He rolled onto his side with his hand covering the gash above his eye. Evangeline planted her foot on his chest, pushing him deeper into the debris that covered the floor.
"And we DEFINITELY don't talk about my private life!" She stalked away, leaving him lying there and started looking for any sign of Smithson. After a minute of listening to Brown hiss in pain every time he touched the gash she found Smithson's comm. This one looked like it had been chewed on as well. What the fuck is going on here?, she asked herself. Sarcasm dripped into her ear. "Please don't tell me that you haven't found them yet. You're standing right on top of him." Once again Evangeline was overwhelmed with the urge to shoot Wesker and shut him up for good. Once again she pushed the button.
"Comms, Wesker. That's what we've found. Two chewed up comms and a picture of Green with his family. There are no bodies here!" She glanced at the photo again and felt a small pang in her chest. Sometimes she wondered what her own children would be like. She'd never gotten pregnant though, so she'd never seriously questioned it. She wondered what kind of child she would create with her genetics. Quickly she shook off the thought. Maybe she couldn't have children. It was that way with her mother. That was why the Gerhardt's had adopted her. As she turned a large rat jumped at Brown from above. At 10 times its normal size, this rat was monsterous. Her Glock was in her hand again, with safety off and a round in the chamber. A single bullet was expelled from the barrel and ripped into the rat, splattering its guts all over the wall. Brown jumped a mile and started screaming at her. "Why are you shooting at me, again?!" Keeping her gun out this time she advanced on the still squealing rodent. She'd shot it clean in half.
"That's why.", she replied.
The rat was struggling without its ass end, but it was still trying to get to Brown by dragging itself along with its front paws. "Je-sus Christ! What the fuck is that?" Evangeline looked at Brown flatly.
"It's a rat."
She looked at the blood splattered across the wall and stopped. She swiped her gloved hand across the crumbling mortar and then sniffed it. "What's the matter?" Evangeline pulled out the other Glock and looked around, hearing the scuttling of more rats.
"This blood is coagulated."
She backed towards the street, back towards the church. Brown followed her, not understanding. "So?" Several pairs of red eyes appeared on the second level.
"Blood doesn't coagulate until after you're dead."
Half a dozen rats poured out onto the street after them. Evangeline blew them apart in quick succession. They broke into a run, turning to fire at the chasing rats every few feet. Two miles away from the church a grenade flew from the low roof of a nearby building and landed in the middle of the rat pack. They converged on it, drawn by the blinking red light at its center. Three seconds later the rats were blown apart by the blast. Evangeline jerked Brown behind a rusted out Buick and waited for the initial flames to die down. Glancing past the bumper she saw rat parts burning everywhere. A shadow moved at the buildings roof and Evangeline didn't need any lighting to know who was standing up there. Flames danced off the barrel of her Glock as she brought it up. The shadow ducked out of sight and she let out a volley of bullets anyways, emptying her gun. Frustrated, she screamed after him.

PostSubject: Re: Resident Evil: Omega   Resident Evil: Omega Icon_minitimeThu Nov 27, 2008 8:10 pm

"Fuck you, Kennedy!"
Devon's mocking voice floated down to her. "You're welcome, Eva!" Evangeline's scream of rage echoed through the frigid night air.
"I'll see your ass burning in hell!" Devon shouted back at her. "You first, sweetheart!" More bullets riddled the night, coming dangerously close to his head and embedding into the brick about two feet away. "You missed, princess!" When he didn't get a response Devon chanced a quick peek over the ledge and saw Evangeline dragging Brown down the street.
Evangeline slammed the doors shut behind her and Brown and glared around the church balefully.
"Where's Wesker?" One stupid Marine opened his mouth without thinking. "He's on the pot." His nose made an odd crunching sound as her fist hit his face and blood poured down the front of his uniform. "Ahh, fuck!" He howled and grabbed his nose.
"You watch your mouth when you're talking to me. You got that, boy?" His C.O. handed him a cloth and glared at Evangeline. "I'm informing your superiors about this, Lieutenant Colonel Gerhardt." Evangeline's brow arched.
"Really? Well, last I heard, he's 'on the pot'."
Wesker appeared, wiping his hands on a towel. "Is there a problem here?" Evangeline jerked off her glove as the C.O. spoke. "Lieutenant Colonel Gerhardt struck one of my men." Evangeline handed Wesker the blood stained glove and walked off. "He deserved it then." Wesker turned away from the stunned C.O. and called after her. "What's this?" She replied without stopping.
"It's a glove." Wesker nodded. "Yes. With blood on it, I can see that. Who's blood is this?" She hollered back from the front of the church.
"It's rat blood." Wesker looked slightly disgusted. "And why would I want one of your gloves that has been stained with rat blood?" Evangeline stopped at the door leading to their shared quarters.
"I think the rat was infected."
She closed the door behind her without waiting for anymore questions. She was bone tired and she desperately needed a shower. She tossed some logs into the fireplace and brought flames to life. The fire would ward off some of the chill in the air. Wearily she sank into an armchair without taking off her clothes or trying to find a shower. And let Wesker worry about the infected rat blood ...

Evangeline woke two hours later and stretched out her cramped muscles. That's what I get for sleeping in a chair, she thought. Slowly she pushed herself upright wincing as her muscles screamed in protest. She almost forgot where she was. Groggily she looked around and saw the open packs. Her foggy brain woke up and she realized that she was on mission again and Devon Kennedy was close by. Shaking her head she gathered up her toiletry bag, slinging a large, fluffy towel over her shoulder and wondered what Kennedy was doing here. And why had he helped her and Brown earlier? Glancing at her watch she saw that it was after chow time. Her stomach grumbled loudly at the thought. Stuffing her cellphone in her pocket she went out in the hall. It was awfully quiet inside the church; she wondered what everyone was up to.
Wesker was sitting in front of his laptop, typing frantically. There was a microscope to the right of him with the light on. Her glove lay on the table next to him, practically torn apart by Wesker trying to retrieve blood from it. He didn't look up from the screen, He probably didn't even know she was awake. Several groups of two or three Marines each were stood around, some of them glaring at her hatefully. None of them were happy about what she'd done to Brown or Lexington. Passing by Brown she inclined her head slightly with a nod and saw the stitches above his eye. She stepped outside and glanced at the PDA in her hand. According to Raccoon City maps, there was a gym half a mile down the street. Hopefully the building was still standing. And even better if the showers still worked.
The front door of the church opened and Davis brought up his rifle. Evangeline stepped into his crosshairs and he took his finger off the trigger. Unsure of what to do, he got on the comm. "Uh, boss?" Devon answered in an instant. "What's the problem?" Davis kept Evangeline in his sights. "Gerhardt is on the move, sir. Not heavily armed, though." Confusion trickled through his brain like a slow moving creek. "She's got the Glocks, a towel and ... shampoo." Devon didn't answer right away and when he did, Davis could tell he'd been laughing. "You called to tell me that Gerhardt is washing her hair?"
Davis could almost see Eve rolling her eyes. "Hey! You're the one who let her and that Marine live earlier. You could've just shot her and left them for the rats. Instead you killed the rats for them. So excuse me if I'm a little confused here. Should I shoot her, or not?" The laughter was gone when Devon answered him this time. "Do you have a clean head shot?" Davis checked his crosshairs again. "Negative." Devon came back again. "Then don't bother. Anything other than a head or heart shot isn't going to kill her. It's just going to piss her off and give away your position." Davis confirmed. "Roger that."
Finally! After 20 minutes of waiting for the black much to clear out of the pipes she was under the shower head, soaking up the deliciously hot water. Her Glocks sat on a decrepit shelf within arms reach and her towel plus toiletries were next to them. Suddenly her cellphone started squawking from inside her bathroom tote and Evangeline groaned. Pushing wet hair away from her face she put the cellphone to her ear and snarled. "What is it?"
If Wesker had noticed her tone, he gave no sign of it. "Where are you?" Evangeline sighed. She'd been wrong when she assumed that he didn't know she was awake. "I'm taking a shower."
"A sh - a shower? How in the hel - Nevermind. I should've known you'd be the one to find the only still running water in the whole city. Where are you?" Evangeline was surprised.
"You're not tracking me?" Wesker lied through his teeth. "Of course not. What you do in your private time is none of my business. I just wanted to let you know that OUR FUCKING COMMS ARE DOWN! And I think that Kennedy's little wench, Eve, has something to do with it." Evangeline was unconvinced.

"Walk out the front doors, hook a left, walk half a mile, the Golds Gym sign in hanging down, covering the door, but it's easy to push out of the way." Wesker was slightly flustered. "You don't care at all that our comms are down."
"Well what the hell do you want from me, Wesker? I'm not some computer geek that can fix the damn comms! Can I finish my shower now?" What is it with her and showers, he wondered. "How long are you going to be?" Evangeline looked to the ceiling and prayed for patience.
"An hour." Wesker was silent, trying to figure out whether she was kidding or not. "An hour?" Evangeline exploded.
"I don't know! However long it takes me to finish! Can I go now? My water is getting cold."
"Bye ..." Evangeline snapped her cellphone closed and tossed it back into the tote. She took her time, washing her hair twice with her favourite Herbal Essence shampoo. It had been nearly forty minutes since she'd gotten off the comm and her water still wasn't near cold yet. Rinsing off the last of the suds from her arms and legs she sighed and turned off the water. She dried with the towel quickly and slipped on a pair of grey jogging sweats with a white stripe down the sides. A matching tank top and zippered hoodie completed her outfit and she slipped on a pair of white running shoes.
Gathering up the rest of her stuff she stuffed it into the tote and headed out. Three blocks from the church she saw glinting from the roof top across the street.
Davis kept his eye on the church door, using his peripheral vision to watch for Evangeline's return. After an hour he started to wonder if she'd managed to slip in without him noticing. She couldn't have, he thought. Anxious, he radioed in. "Hey, Eve?" Eve tapped her earbud. "Did he just say my name?" Devon looked at her. "Your name is Eve, isn't it?" Eve glared at him. "What is it, Davis?"
"Your hair is about the same length as Gerhardt's, isn't it?" Eve didn't know Evangeline personally, but being compared to anyone who worked with Wesker, or Umbrella, rankled her. "Yes. About the same length. Why?" Davis cleared his throat. "How long does it take you to wash your hair? Cause it's been an hour and Gerhardt isn't back yet."
It was at that point that Devon stepped in. "That's not unusual. Gerhardt has a thing for showers. It's how she copes with stressors."
"Now, if I'm gone for over two hours, that's when you need to start worrying."
Davis started at the sound of her voice and whirled around, coming face to face with her Glocks. Slowly Davis reached for his rifle and Evangeline cocked the guns.
"Don't even think about it, Davis." Davis stopped cold and put his hands up, surrendering. At this range he knew there was no way she'd miss. Devon got on the comm again. "You spot her yet Davis?" Evangeline beckoned. "Give it here."
Davis took out his earbud and tossed it at her feet. She holstered one of the Glocks and kept the other closely trained on him while she knelt down and picked up the comm. Devon's voice crackled again. "Davis. You there? Davis?"
Evangeline chuckled softly and pressed the button on her end. "Davis can't come to the phone right now, Captain Kennedy. May I take a message?"
Eve jerked away from what she was doing and looked at Devon with wide eyes. Devon ran a hand over his face and cursed vilely before answering. "Hello, Gerhardt."
Evangeline's eyebrows rose. "Oh! So it's Gerhardt now, is it? What ever happened to calling me Eva?" Devon closed his eyes and muttered a quick prayer for Davis. Evangeline wasn't known for being merciful, and there was a good chance that Davis was already dead. "You have my partner. Undoubtedly you also have a gun pointed to his head. I'd rather he didn't get a bullet through his brain." Evangeline laughed.
"Why Kennedy! I never knew you to care so much."
"Let him go, Evangeline. He's of no use to you."
So far, Davis hadn't moved an inch. His hands were still raised in defeat and his eyes hadn't stopped following the barrel of her gun. Evangeline paused, pretending to think for a moment.
"You know Kennedy ... I think I'll keep him for a while. Introduce him to Wesker ... that sort of thing." Evangeline took out the earbud before Devon could respond and tossed it off the roof. Grabbing Davis's rifle she motioned with her gun.

"Move it."

Wesker steps back from his laptop, snapping it closed just as Evangeline strides in, her Glock aimed at the back of someone's head. Wesker grins and whistles softly. "Ah, once again she proves herself irreplacable. Fine work, Evangeline. Whom do we have the pleasure of entertaining today?"
Wesker moves around the desk holding his equipment to stand directly before Evangeline and her prisoner. With a look of flashing anger, Evangeline introduces her captive. "This here is Davis, one of Devon's little helpers. He was set up on a rooftop with this..." Evangeline hands Davis' rifle to Wesker, keeping her Glock aimed at the back of Davis' head the entire time.
Wesker smiles again and takes hold of the gun, checks it over carefully, drops the clip and clears the chamber. Grinning, he turns back to Davis and slams the butt swiftly into Davis midsection, dropping the man to his knees, winded. Wesker steps back and tosses the rifle onto a nearby pew, as he speaks. "You and your friends are giving me quite the headache, and I'm all out of painkillers. What are you doing here? How many are you? And how can I make you go away without killing all three of you?"
Evangeline steps back, holstering her Glock, smiling. She drops into a pew and crosses her arms, watching. She loves watching Wesker kick ass. He was always so damn good at it...gave her inspiration.
Wesker waits for Davis to catch his breath, and once he has, he looks into Wesker's eyes and spits, "Go fuck yourself, you freak of nature. I ain't telling you nothing." Wesker nods softly for a moment, as if absorbing this news deeply. Quick as a flash, he leans down and grips the front of Davis' shirt, ripping the man to his feet. As he brings Davis to his level, he rockets his head forward, headbutting Davis in the face, missing his nose, but splitting his lip wide open. Wesker grins into Davis' face again. "Well, let's try this again. And you may have to speak up this time. Don't want to miss anything important through that fucked-up mouth of yours. Shall we try it one question at a time now?" Wesker brings his knee up and slams it sideways into Davis' ribs, still holding the man tightly by the front of his shirt. By now, everyone in the church has stopped to watch the goings-on. Wesker fires a question at Davis, followed by a swift elbox to the jaw. "How many are you?"
Davis droops a little in Wesker's grip and mumbles something softly. Wesker leans in, ear to Davis' mouth. "I didn't catch that. What was it?" Davis spits blood into the side of Wesker's face and cackles drunkenly. "I said, fuck you, loser."
Wesker sighs and lowers Davis slowly to the ground, letting the man support his own weight. Turning from him, Wesker speaks softly, slowly, "You are a stubborn one, I'll give you that. I suppose I will have to think up new and interesting ways to make you talk, then, hmm? But until I do, I think I will keep you here. A little insurance, how about that?" As Wesker's last word leaves his lips, he spins fast, the heel of his heavily booted foot catching Davis in the temple, sending Davis flying backward a few feet to crash unconscious to the floor. Sniffing in disdain, Wesker snaps his fingers to the two Marines closest to Davis' crumpled form. "Take 'that' somewhere secure. Lock it up. Guard it. I will personally kill whoever lets him escape or be rescued. Understood?"
The Marines snap sharp salutes, yelling in unison, "Yes, Sir!!" As they gather up Davis and drag him from the room, Wesker turns to Evangeline, grinning slightly. "So, enjoy your shower, my dear? I only ask because while you were fucking around, some little tart has knocked out almost every form of communication we have. I cannot even get a hold of UCHQ, my computer links are all worthless, and I want to know....directly WHAT THE FUCK YOU PROPOSE WE DO ABOUT IT!?"
Evangeline leaps to her feet and squares off in front of Wesker. Nose to nose with her superior officer, her boss, she sets her jaw in defiance and spits out a venomous reply. "Well, I'm going to help you fix it, it that's possible. But there's no need to scream at me because your dream assignment is going all to hell...." Evangeline jabs a pointed fingernail into Wesker's solid chest. "Get off my fucking back, Al. I'm sick of all your crap lately. Ever since I hooked up with you, my life, exciting though it's sometimes been, has gone completely to hell. So lay off, or I will knock you the fuck out!!"
Wesker tilts his head for a moment, staring right into Evangeline's eyes through his dark shades. Then, shockingly, he begins to laugh. It is a low chuckle at first, but soon builds into an explosion of mirth. Wesker settles after some long moments of laughter, then reaches out to squeeze Evangeline's right shoulder tightly. "You never cease to amaze me, Evangeline. Bravo." He turns away and heads towards his desk, his equipment. He lifts his PDA from the desktop, then grabs his sidearm and holsters it at his side. That done, he checks his equipment pouches, making sure he has everything he needs in order to repair the satellite rig. Turning to Evangeline, he smiles warmly, and speaks softly. "You want to know why I keep you around, Evangeline? Because there is no other person on this planet who has the guts to stand toe-to-toe with me and tell it like it is, right to my face. I admire that, more than you could possibly know. I'm sorry your life is shit, but I am glad you are on my side....as much as you are, at any rate. Such moxy....a man could fall in love with it." Wesker turns and heads for the door of the church, snapping orders at the Marine CO as he exits. "Major, I'm heading out to the satellite hook-up. Inform your men I am on my way. If Lieutenant Colonel Gerhardt wishes to stay here, follow whatever orders she sees fit to assign. She is commanding until my return. Understood?"
The Major barks assent, and Wesker turns at the doorway to face Evangeline. "I want you to stick close to our prisoner, and remain in contact with me at all times. I don't know what Kennedy may be planning, and if need me, I'll want you to....execute our insurance. No hesitation." Without waiting for an answer, Wesker exits the church and is gone, heading directly for the satellite rig.

Alex Brown touched the stitches above his left eye for what felt like a hundreth time. He had had much worse before but it pissed him off. He had waited at the church again while the CO's decided what to do and thought about the bloated rat thing that had gone for him in the city. Like the other marines he had heard alot of shit going on in the city and it was freaking him out. He took apart his beloved rifle, cleaned it and then put it back together. He wasn't sure what to make of recent events but would follow his orders to the letter...

Eve had just started packing her gear up when Davis paged her through her earpiece. At first she was stunned that he was even talking to her, but then the nature of his question said it all. She just rolled her eyes and looked at Devon as he answered for her. Eve continued packing her gear and listened to the explanation. Their encrypted 3-way communication system made it possible for them to all to be in touch while keeping outsiders from encoding their transmissions. When Gerhardt’s voice came across the net, she knew instantly that Gerhardt had found Davis’s hiding spot and possible had one of her cheap glocks stuff down his throat. She looked at Devon with wide eyes and clinched her teeth. She sat there quietly has Devon tried to negotiated with Gerhardt, but to no avail his attempts failed. Eve put her pack on her back and held up a small remote detonator and winked at Devon. He was obviously stumbling over what to do next. She scooted over next to him making sure to keep low. She took his hand and smiled. “I have to blow that satellite dish up completely. That device I put on is also a bomb. Not quit a nuclear one, but it packs a punch. Stay here for a bit and stay low, please.” She added the ‘please’ on the end knowing how Devon did not like to take orders. “I wont be long, I just have to get a little closer to detonate it.” She reached up and ran her slender hand through his hair and kissed him on the lips. “And, I love you too. I am probably going to burn in hell, but God, I love you too.” She quickly scooted over the ledge again before he had much time to react. Within seconds she was in enough range to completely blow up the satellite, making it impossible to repair and communications to the temporary base. She saw Wesker making his way down the hill. Eve grinned, “Oh two birds with one stone.” She was going to wait until he was right up on the rig before she blew it, but suddenly she heard noises behind her. A group of marines were making their way towards her; she did not have enough time. She hit the trigger and the entire Rig was engulfed into flames. The blast knocked Wesker back about 50 yards. He landed in a snow heap, but Eve did not stick around to see if he survived. She turned and retreated back to a deserted building that looked like it had once been a gas station.

Evangeline turned to follow the Marines and Davis into a back room when Wesker popped his head back into the church. "By the way, Gerhardt ..." Evangeline turned to face him with her hands on her hips. "You're out of uniform." Evangeline gave him the finger as he ducked back out and she shut the door behind her. Brown and Johnson escorted Davis int the room next to her pricate quarters. He was waking up, slowly, and was still groggy. Evangeline went to her quarters through the connecting door and returned with a canteen, a cloth and her medi - kit. Brown and Johnson had lowered Davis into a chair and she knelt next to him. His lip was split in two places, a trickle of blood still leaked from his nose and his eye was already blackening. Soon it would be too swollen for him to see out of.
Brown and Johnson took up post on either side of the dor and she knew that there were already two more guards on the other side.
She took the cloth and wet it from the canteen. As gently as someone like herself could manage she cleaned up his face. Opening her medi - kit she snapped the core of a cooling pack, mixing the chemicals. Once it grew cold enough she placed it over his eye. Sterilized gauzes were torn open and she poured a brownish liquid out onto a pad. As she raised the pad to his face he jerked away from her.
"What is that?" She stopped with the pad mere inches from the cuts on his lip.
"It's iodine." She showed him the bottle with it's newly broken seal and IODINE written on the label.
"It's a disinfectant. It will clean your wounds."
She motioned towards Brown and the yellowish tint around the stitches above his eye.
"Your skin will be a bit yellow for a while, but that will fade away."
She placed the pad next to the bloodied cloth and brought out a pack of sterilized needles along with some thread.
"You talk like I'm going to live that long."
She threaded a needle and got to work on the first of the two cuts on his lower lip.
"You'll live."
Three stitches later and she sat back, surveying her handiwork.
"You'll definitely live."
She ran her hands over his side checking for the telltale swelling that meant internally broken bones. "Severe bruising, but nothing broken. Maybe a fracture, but not snapped. You want me to tape you just in case?" Davis chose that moment to lose his cool.
"What the fuck are you doing? Is this some new kind of torture? Fix me up so Wesker can come in here and start all over again?" His tirade ended just as quickly as it had begun and Evangeline packed up her medi - kit silently, wondering why she was being so nice to him.
"I'm not doing this for Wesker. I don't khow why I'm doing this really. I could've just waited for Doc to come in and do it. But he'd take his sweet time in getting here and he wouldn't have bothered trying to be as gentle about it either."
She peeled the cooling pack off his face and inspected his eye. The swelling wasn't too bad, actually. And there wasn't any damage to the cornea, he'd keep his eye.
"You're lucky, you know. I've seen men die from Wesker kicking them the way he did you."
Davis cocked his head to the side incredulously. "Yes. I am so lucky to have lived so that Wesker can come in here and try to beat information out of me. Then when he doesn't get what he wants you'll just kill me. You can jump in there somewhere and point out the 'lucky me' part any time you want."
Evangeline sighed and rested her hands on the butts of her guns, looking him in the eye. "If you die, it will not be by my hand."
"What if it's an order?" Davis didn't want to trust Evangeline at all. He didn't trust anyone working with Umbrella. But Evangeline didn't work for Umbrella. She worked for the United States Marine Corp. It was her job to keep Wesker alive, that was all.
"An order? Well, it'll hurt, and you'll wish you were dead, but it won't be a kill shot."
Davis was confused. "Why are you doing this for me?"
Evangeline pulled a photo out of her pocket and handed it to Davis.
"His name was Green. He had a wife, a daughter, a family, just like you do. He's dead now. And I'm not about to let another family be torn apart because of the Hive."
Davis jerked forward, practically jumping out of the chair. "How do you know about my family?!"
"We know everything about the people who work with Devon. I even know what happened to Eve in Egypt, even if you don't. Devon is our only real threat in the Resistance. Wesker killed Devons father, and Devon wants him badly for it. He just hasn't been able to get past me yet."
"So what is it with the two of you? I mean, how come you're not dead right now? He should've let the rats kill you. But he didn't. He should've let me shoot you when you left to take your shower." I really wish I had shot you, he thought. I wouldn't be in this mess if I had. "But he didn't. So what gives?"
"I can't say I'm not surprised that Devon never told you that he and I are related, somewhat. It's not something I admit to very often either. But Devon doesn't care about all that, and frankly, neither do I. So I guess he just enjoys a good challenge."

Davis was shocked. "How in the hell can the two of you be related? You were a science experiment for fucks sake!"
Evangeline was a bit insulted at being called a science experiment. But in all truth, that's exactly what she was. "The blood of Leon Kennedy and two others were used to create my genetic make-up."
Davis was surprised. "What two others?"
Evangeline fidgeted for a moment. "Jack Krauser and Alice."
All three names were well known by everyone working for Umbrella, and the Resistance. "So, why are you and Devon in Raccoon City?" Davis shifted in his chair and decided it was safe to tell her. "We blew the Hive."
That was not the news that Evangeline wanted to hear. Wesker was going to go ballistic.
"Oh, how lovely ..." Evangeline started to pace.
"Albert is going to go to the old police headquarters looking for the secret way in that his grandfather built there when he founded the S.T.A.R.S team ... What is he going to find?"
Davis shook his head. "He's not going to find anything. The Hive has been completely destroyed. We strapped explosives to the supports and took out the entire structure. If there was anything left down there ... it didn't survive."
It was Evangeline's turn to shake her head. "It's not what's down there that worries me the most. It's what's on the surface. Unless ya'll took care of Green and Smithson yourselves ... ?"
Davis made a negative motion with his head. "We killed all but three of them. The last three were wounded, but they should've lived."
Evangeline stopped her pacing and turned to Davis. "All but three of them?" Davis nodded. "How many were out there?"
"I counted ten. Seven dead, Green, Smithson and Stevens were left alive though."
"There were 10 Marines out there?"
Davis nodded a second time. "That's what I said."
Evangeline sighed. "No wonder there were so many rats and no bodies out there."
Davis was confused. "What do you mean?"
"Rats are attracted by the scent of fresh blood. Especially infected rats."
Painfilled shouts followed by gunfire filtered down the hallway. Johnson went out to check on the commotion, leaving Evangeline alone with Brown and Davis. Davis looked at Brown quizzically. "You're familiar to me for some reason." Brown shrugged. "This isn't my first mission with Wesker and Gerhardt."
Evangeline looked surprised. "It isn't?"
"Nope. It's my third."
Johnson ran back into the room, panicked.
"It's Smithson. He just bit Lexingtons nose off! They're shooting him, but he's still after Lexington."

Evangeline grabbed her rifle from the other room and dashed out into the hall. It was full to the brim with Marines. Evangeline pushed at them, trying to make her way to Lexington and Smithson. She could hear Lexington screaming at the top of his lungs, shouting for someone to get Smithson the fuck off him.
Evangeline pulled back the bolt on her rifle and shoved a round into the chamber. She placed the butt against her shoulder and shouted.
"EVERYBODY DOWN!"
Marines dropped out of the way and the wall of bodies between her and Smithson suddenly vanished. Evangeline whistled merrily and the zombie, Smithson, turned to the sound, dropping Lexington as he did. She brough up her rifle and aimed.
"Smile wide, you ugly mother fucker."
The bullet left the barrel and entered through Smithsons open mouth, exiting out the back of his head and his body hit the floor witha thud.
Evangeline stepped over and on anybody that was in her way as she walked over to Lexington. He was lying on his back, watching her as she walked over to him.
His wounds were severe and he was losing blood from the gaping hole in his throat at a fast rate. His breathing was laboured and sounded wet. Like a man drowning. Choking, he spit more blood down his chin.
He wasn't going to survive. Lexington could read the truth on her face and tears formed in his eyes. Evangeline slung her rifle over her shoulder and pulled out her Glock. She flicked off the safety and made sure there was a round in the chamber. She looked at Lexington again. "I'm sorry."
Lexington nodded and closed his eyes. One last gunshot echoed off the walls and a black hole appeared in the middle of his forehead. Evangeline holstered her weapon and looked around at all the Marines crammed in the hallway.
"Now would be the perfect time for Kennedy and Redfield to attempt a rescue for Davis. Anybody want to hazzard a guess as to why I say that?"
Nobody answered or even moved. "Because none of you are at your posts like you're supposed to be! They could just walk right on in, take Davis and none of you would even know that they were here!"
She was overreacting, she knew that. There were thirty Marines standing outside Davis's room, he wasn't going anywhere.
None of the Marines had even twitched a muscle yet. They were just staring at her as if she were speaking a foreign language.
"Move it! Back to your posts! You two! Move these bodies into the front room with the equipment and cover them properly. They were your mates, once! And somebody get out to that satellite and find Wesker!"

As Wesker makes his slow way down to the satellite rig, he checks through his PDA, flicking through the research he's done on the infected rat's blood. Grinning slightly, he shuts off his PDA and drops it into it's pouch on his belt, cracks his knuckles and strides down the hill towards the rig and the Marines posted around it. He raises a hand, ready to greet the Marines, perhaps even chew them out for letting his rig be so tampered with, when a huge blast shatters the stillness of the area. Hot air and flame slams into Wesker, throwing him into the air, small pieces of the rig whistling through the air, slicing into his skin. As he lands in a snowbank, a rather large portion of the rig's main support leg whips through the air, smashing into the left side of his face, leaving a rather nasty gash across his cheek and a cut across the bridge of his nose.
Wesker lay in the snowbank for a few moments, checking himself over for damage, listening to the little voice inside his head. Right thumb dislocated by the landing, the blast damaged his eardrums and creating a horrid buzzing sound, the gash on his face bleeding heavily, but slowing down, a mild concussion. Wesker opens his eyes and brings his hands up in front of his face. Gripping his right thumb in his left hand, he snaps it back into place with one swift movement, then heaves himself to his feet to survey the damage done to the rig. He pulls a handkerchief from his pocket and mops at the blood on his face as he strides down the hill towards what's left of the rig.
Sighing softly, picking his way through the remains of the Marines posted at the rig, and the crumpled remains of the rig itself, Wesker shakes his head and searches for any remains of the device used, picking his way through crumpled steel and large pieces of freshly detonated Marines. As he bends, weaving slightly due to the damage done to his eardrums throwing off his equilibrium, he hears a slight noise behind him. Wesker stands, turns and spots a Marine pinned to a brick wall, a large section of the rig through his abdomen. Wesker tilts his head slightly, then realises the Marine is screaming at him for help, but Wesker can barely hear him. Shaking his head sadly, Wesker draws his Magnum, takes careful aim, and fires. The Marine's head is blown clear off his shoulders, the bullet from Wesker's sidearm leaving a nice sized hole in the brick wall behind the Marine as well. Wesker holsters his sidearm and drops to the ground on his knees, his head bowed, forehead resting in the palm of his left hand, right hand still wrapped around the butt of his holstered sidearm. Wekser closes his eyes and activates an implant or two, waiting for them to speed up his systems and heal his damaged body, all the while whispering of payback.

As Wesklers' head is bowed, the oppertunity arrises. Swiftly in the wind, there is no sound. Not even he could detect from which it came, but it did. A rock the size of a ping pong ball whizzed through the air catching him behind the ear. With his ears still ringing, he discovers hes bleeding, but not fatal. The direction that it came from, he doesn't know from spinning around, wondering who or what.
Silent, ever so silent in the snow. That was nice shot, smile spreads across face. 'I like playing games' now far away the words are whispered, "Rock, paper, scissors. One of the best". Getting further away from Weskler, the paper which is an old photograph, is torn into shreads, "See if the pieces fit, nice puzzle".

All hell was breaking loose. Eve gone, Davis gone, no doubtebly dead. The communications sattelite destroyed, and from what I saw, Wesker pissed off. This mission was going to shit quickly. I ducked back down and pressed my secure line switch. I waited for the comm to beep before I spoke. "This is Capt. Kennedy. I need to speak to him." I let go and the line beeped back with a woman's voice. "Capt. Kennedy, he's been wondering when you were going to make contact. Can I ask the nature of your transmission?" I swore under my breath. "Yeah, it's fucking urgent, now get him on the god damned line. Now." The line was silent for about 30 seconds, which only pissed me off further before "his" voice filled my ear. "Devon, I hope you are calling with good news." "Sort of sir. The hive has been destroyed, permanently. In Raccoon City anyhow. But there has been some serious complications." Silence, then. "What complications?" "Well sir, my team is no longer with me. Davis has been captured, and Redfield is currently being pursued by a group of Marines. The communications sat. has been destroyed, but I'm afraid that it will only be a temporary thorn for Wesker. I say that there is maybe 12 hours before they have another uplink, and without Eve I can not stop that. Without Davis, there will be areas that I will not be able to gain access too because of the mechanics. The quieter I am, the less chance Wesker will be able to keep tabs on me. There is also "other" problems that need to be attended to as well." I took a quick peek over the side and saw Wesker kneeling down, from what I could see, trying to get his bearings back. The line beeped. "What 'other' problems?" I slid back down and hit the switch. "Well, rats managed to find a way out of the hive, and have infected, from what I can only speculate, roughly 4 or 5 Marines. I took out almost all of the rats, but there are the Marines to deal with sir. No telling where they have gone, and what will happen if Wesker has more Marines show up. I'm also certain that his scientific teams will be arriving soon as well." He was quick to answer. "You better not fuck this up Kennedy. I swear to Christ that if you do, you'll never see the light of another day. Eliminate all infected specimins, along with Wesker and anyone who works with him. Including Evangeline. I mean it." The line clicked dead, and I lost the connection. I cursed and gathered up my weapons, reloading the MP-5. I attached a silencer to it and looked over the ledge once more before I started to back away. When I was sure that I could not be seen I turned and started walking towards the door down. I heard a creaking under my feet, and before I could move, the floor gave out underneath me. I crashed into the floor 30 feet below and felt a few of my ribs break. I spit blood out of my mouth, and rolled onto my back. The air was filled with dust, and combined with the pain I felt in my body, made it hard for me to see. With my vision blurred I stumbled to my feet, and looked around, letting my eyes re-adjust. When my vision cleared I took stock in my inventory. All weapons and ammo intact. My secure comm was shattered. No more talking to the HQ. My local comm was still operable, which I thanked god for. I could still talk to Eve, assuming she was still in possession of her ear piece. I took a few more minutes, and waited until I could breathe before I began moving again. The pain in my ribs had dulled to almost nothing, and my vision was completely clear again. I reached down and picked up the MP-5, and headed for the stairwell. I descended the stairs two at a time until I got to the second floor. I entered the floor and began clearing it. That didn't take me long. As I headed towards the front windows to get a better look at the area I heard the same distinctive moans I had heard down in the hive. There was a lot of them this time. Where the hell did they all come from? I closed my eyes and let the events flash behind my eyelids like a movie. I hadn't given any thought to the transport I had seen earlier, while we were up on the roof. Probably 30-40 of these zombies now. Not good. I opened my eyes and turned in the direction the sounds were coming from. My eyes widened as I saw the horrific sight before me. Bodies were mashing together, all trying to get through the door at the same time. I had never seen so many. Then my thoughts turned to Eve. She was out in this. I didn't see any other ways out when I looked around. The window. That was my way out. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. As the zombies got close enough to grab at my clothing, I took off running, and vaulted forward. My body went crashing through the window sending glass shattering down to the street below.

I hit my shoulder hard and rolled onto my knees. The pain spread down to my elbow, and with a grunt, I slammed my shoulder back into place. I moved around the building to look at the main road that Eve had run down. To my left was the church, and Davis. To my right, was Eve. Directly in front of me, kneeling across the street, was Wesker. I raised my gun and leveled it at Wesker's head. I began squeezing the trigger, and stopped just as suddenly. Wesker could wait, and Davis was either dead, or so heavily guarded that I didn't need to worry about him. He was clever and crafty, thats why he was with me. He was super intelligent, and would do what he had to to keep himself alive. I wasn't worried about him. It was Eve that consumed my interests right now. I'd come back for Wesker as soon as I knew Eve was safe. I went around to the other side of the building and made sure it was clear. Eve had been followed by some guards, so I wasted no time going after her. I hadn't heard any shots fired, so I knew that they had at least not shot her. Chances were, she was still alive. I made it too the gas station and looked through the windows. The marines were still in there, searching. She was still alive. I made sure the MP-5 was ready to go, and I attached the silencer to it. I moved around to the service door and pushed it open slightly to get a peek inside. The door made a minimal amount of noise and I entered the car bays. I could see them now, 3 marines. I raised the gun and pulled the trigger. The bullets blasted out of the barrels with nothing more then a popping sound. In a few seconds, the marines were dead. I let the MP-5 hang from my shoulder and walked in to examine the dead marines. I took my .45 and shot a single bullet into each of their skulls. They would stay dead. I then began to look around. "Eve? Eve?" No answer. "EVE!" I heard a door open and I spun around to see her standing there. She was bleeding from her right shoulder. She had the wound covered with her left hand. I quickly went to her and wrapped her in my arms, giving her a deep kiss. "Don't ever do that to me again, you got that? Now, let me take a look at this." I moved her hand and saw that there was still a bit of metal sticking out of her. I looked her in the eyes and put my hand on it. "This is gonna hurt like a mother fucker." I didn't give her a chance to protest and ripped it out of her. She screamed and hit me in the mouth with a left hook. It rocked me back a few steps. "That fucking hurt you asshole!" I rubbed my jaw and started to laugh. "You're welcome. Wesker's still alive. Let's go and get him." She hung her head slightly and looked at the wound. "Damn it, so I got this for nothing?" I shook my head. "Not for nothing. You did put them on a crutch for a while. But not long. There is also another problem. A transport with a lot of marines touched down before the explosion. Now there are a shit load of dead things stumbling around. You have to stay close to me." She looked at me. "And what about Davis?" I shook my head. "Nothing we can do for him right now. As long as he keeps his wits about him, he'll stay alive. Evangeline won't kill him unless she has a really good reason, and Wesker needs leverage against me. He's safe. For now." I started towards the door when her voice stopped me. "And the zombies?" I turned slowly to face her. "Wesker and Evangeline will know how to handle them. They won't want them around uncontained anymore then we will. As for us, we have to be careful. Even though they have no real thoughts other then feeding, they still seem to be pretty lucky, and they come out of no where." I stepped close to her and firmly took her shoulders in my hands. "This is important. Should we become seperated and you find yourself cornered by any zombies, or animals that are infected, you must sever the spinal connection anyway you can. And avoid getting bitten. That's how it spreads. If there is no way to fight, you run your ass off. Now, come on." I took her hand and led her to the door. I took a quick look around and no longer saw Wesker kneeling by the wreckage, in fact, he wasn't there at all. This only meant that I would have to hunt him down and take him if I wanted to get Davis back. I would also make him tell me what he was doing, by any means I had to, providing it did not jeopordize my small team.

All hell was definitely breaking loose, Kai knew that much. For once, she had been staying above ground, but the nasty's had spotted her and were homing in. "Oh heck!" She muttered, frightened and grabbed Buddy from behind the back seat of the burned out old car she was hiding in. She had no clue where they came from and if she couldn't get out, she was an easy meal. It looked like they had come from a derelict building as she had seen what looked like a soldior take a nose dive from a window. Now they had locked onto her instead! "We gotta go Buddy." She whimpered as she was surrounded by the nasty's and started to claw at the bottom of the car behind the back seat. She was sure she had seen a manhole beneath the car. Kai managed to get out of the bottom of the car, keeping Buddy close and she grabbed at the cover of the manhole. She managed to move it, but it made an awful scraping and clanging noise. "Just a little more." She grunted. She only needed enough to slide down the gap with her faithful stuffed dog. A nasty managed to get a gross hand into teh car and made a grab at her, but Kai yelped loudly and kicked at the heavy grate. "Oh come on!" She yelled and moved it enough. "Yes!" Just as she slid down the hole, she saw the soldior coming out of what she thought used to be a garage. He was as mean looking as the nasty's to her and put her feet on the run of the subterrainian ladder. She then stuffed Buddy between her knees and started to pull the grate back over the hole. One nasty managed to get his hand and most of his arm down the hole, making Kai scream. There was no time to pull the grate all the way. "Get off me!" She yelled and thumped her small fists against the invading arm. It was enough for the hand to let go of her dirty t-shirt and she slid down the ladder quickly. "Ha ha, you can't catch me!" She shouted up the hole as she tucked Buddy under one arm and went running down the sewer tunnel at full pelt.......

As Eve turned and ran towards the abandoned building she felt the burning sensation in her shoulder. She cursed slightly under her breath and grimaced at the pain. There was no time to worry about it now. If she stopped now she would surely be caught. Rounding the corner of the building she grabbed her gun and cocked it back. There in the small ally way was a door to the auto repair area. It was slightly opened and she quickly squeezed herself between the rusty opening. There were three Marines following her. She had to get out of sight and fast too. The tallest of the three pushed the door open that she had gone through a few moments before and stuck his armed hand with a rifle before pushing the rest of his bulky body through. Eve ducked into another door and behind some old 55-gallon drums and held her breath. Thinking she should try to call for Devon, but then realized her earpiece had been busted during the explosion. She looked at her gun and then tucked it into her belt. She would do this quietly. She reached far down into her boot and as quietly as possible undid the snap that held her knife there. She crouched further as she could tell they were getting closer and inched her dagger out of her boot. She held it up to her chest ready to attack at any second. Just as the leader of the group was about to walk into her tiny hiding spot she heard the unmistakable popping sound. She was never more so relieved than when she heard Devon call her name. She stood up clutching her right shoulder. He grabbed her and kissed her deeply. She ran a bloody hand through his hair and looked deep into his eyes.
He tended to her wound and acting on instinct and without thinking she instantly brought up her hand and connected it with his jaw. The pain in her shoulder was pissing her off more than knowing Wesker was still alive. She listened carefully to everything he had to say. She knew about the zombies and how to kill them, but there was no way he would have known that. She had had her fair share of those nasty creatures in Egypt. There was no need to bring it up, so Eve just nodded, letting him know she understood. He held her hand and led them to the door. As he looked around she tore off a piece of one of the dead Marines shirt and wrapped it tightly around her shoulder. Devon looked back and tied it for her quickly. Eve snatched up a few grenades and another MP-5 before Devon led her outside. They were about to make their way behind an overturned and burnt out Semi-Truck, when she pulled his hand back. “Devon, wait, look over there.” Devon’s gaze followed to where Eve was pointing. There were three zombie’s, that looked like previous marines. They were on a feeding frenzy and had spotted their meal. A tiny girl, which was odd, since the city was suppose to be abandoned, was crawling under an old car. She wiggled her way into the manhole. Eve looked at Devon. He simply replied back, "Nothing we can do about that for now. We need to find somewhere to hold up and plan how we are going to get Davis back." Eve nodded, but it was too late.
The zombie’s, having been deprived of their meal soon spotted Devon and Eve. Their moaning was indescribable as the lack of emotion in their eyes, if there were still intact. Devon raised his gun and aimed at the creature closest to them. He still had the silencer on and with a tiny pop the zombie fell to the ground. The hole in its forehead oozed a black liquid. They were closing in on them now and Eve raised her gun. She popped the one on the left and it too quickly fell to the ground. Devon raised he gun for the other one that was going right for Eve, but his gun jammed. He cursed and threw it on the broken pavement. Eve tried to raise her gun again but the zombie grabbed her arm she winched in pain as it pulled on her right shoulder, “God Damnit!” She punched the zombie in the face with a hard left hook. It stumbled back and started for her again. Devon flew up behind the zombie and with a swift movement broke its neck. He grabbed his gun off the pavement and Eve’s hand and took off running.

Kai ran along the sewer line in the oposite direction of the garage. In essence, she was running in the same direction as the two soldiors she had seen. Kai kept count of the ladders she passed, ten, eleven and then twelve and she slowed down to a walk. She was far enough away now to check topside for anymore nasty's. Tucking Buddy under her arm, she began to climb up the ladder.

The manhole cover was heavy, but Kai had a way of sliding it easily away, enough to stick her head out. She brought her head out far enough to bring her eyes to ground level and then began a slow turn to see what was about. Nothing until the last few seconds and she saw two pairs of army boots bearing down on her. "Oh shit!" She howled and ducked her head back under.......

Pet scrubbed the last spot of her leg with the cold mud. She knew this was the only thing that could cover up sweat and blood. "Now that those hungry things can't smell, neither can you. I didn't follow you here for me to get my ass chewed up. No, no I been following you ever since......" She changed her mind and wondered back to a small baby. Tilting her head to one side like a curious animal, she rolled her eyes evilly. "Yea, I wonder what ever happened to him", she only knew it WAS a boy. Then she chuckled to herself, "Yea, I bet he would have your ass, gut you up and never blink twice. And I would love to shake his hand. Because if he knew what I know. You will and oh you will, cry and beg for your life to end quickly. Now", she took the picture and only the face was missing, this would only drive him insane". "One piece at a time". Pet took a piece that showed the shoulders and hands and crumpled it into a ball. Taking her slingshot, she waited for him to move. And he did, Weskler stood up and proceeded on his way. After he got several hundreds of yards, she stretched back the primative weapon and let her ball fly throug the air with a stealthy touch. Hitting its' mark, which being the back of his head, she ducked and went to her next spot. Which would be werever he would go. She would follow him to the depths of hell itself if need be.

"This is getting fucking ridiculous."

I turned a corner and bolted behind a pickup truck, dragging Eve behind me when I saw a group of Marines securing the area. There was no way we were gonna get to Wesker right now. I ponted up the street a little ways to a neon sign that suprisingly still worked. My voice was low.

"A hotel. We'll hold up there for the night. First light we're after Wesker and Davis. I don't know about you but I've been awake for a lot of hours and could use some rest."

I looked over the side of the truck and didn't see the Marines. A few seconds later I heard their guns firing and I pulled Eve behind me again, and headed for the hotel. We reached it in no time at all and I kicked open the door to the office. I searched around found the keys to one of the top floor suites and ran past Eve with her following closely behind me. I knew the elevators would be out so we climbed the 7 floors to the top and quickly found the door to the suite. Once we were inside I locked the door behind us and set my MP-5 down on the table along with the rest of my gear.

"We'll be ok here for the night. No signs of the zombies ever being here. They'll be too busy with Wesker and his men to worry about us."

I started to take off my shirt and grimaced at the pain I felt in my ribs. They were definately broken, and the big purple bruise was already getting darker. Eve saw it and I heard her gasp and come over to me.

"What the hell did you do to yourself."

She placed her hands on my side and as good as her skin felt against mine, I grunted.

"Nothing. Nothing I can't handle anyway."

I dropped the shirt and wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close to me. We looked each other in the eyes for a few moments before I kissed her deeply, letting my fingers entwine in her hair, pulling it slightly. I pulled my lips back, and we let our foreheads touch and I panted, from the passion in the kiss, and because it was hard for me to breathe. I stepped away from her and headed towards the bathroom.

"I'm gonna get a shower, providing it still works. I won't be long."

I got into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me, and turned the knobs. To my surprise, the water still worked, and was hot. I waited a few seconds to let the room fill up with steam, and I finished taking off the rest of my clothes. I stepped in and let the water pound against my skin, turning it a bright shade of red. I don't know how long I stood there for letting the water wash over me, before I felt the delicate fingers along my back. I lifted my head and turned around to see Eve standing there nude, nothing but a smile. I felt my love for her come over me and I wasn't exactly sure what I should do. It had been so long since we had been together like this, and I must admit, I was kind of nervous. She must have sensed it, and got close to me, letting her hands find their way around my chest to the middle of my back. She leaned into me, and let her face rest against, whispering.

"It's ok. This is where I have wanted to be for a long time."

It felt so good to feel her breasts against me. I let out a long sigh, and lifted her chin so our eyes could lock. I leaned down and kissed her again, this time it was softer. I let the sheer enjoyment of her lips fill me and soon, my lust rose too. I gently pushed her back against the cold tile and let our bodies crush together, my hands exploring her body just like they used too so long ago. My left hand slid down behind her right knee and I lifted her leg into the air, and sliding into her at the same time. Her hands went to the back of my neck and I could feel the pressure of her fingernails against my skin, ready to open it up at any time. I slowly thrusted into her, and didn't stop our kiss until she broke it and leaned her head back to moan. I tiled my own mouth down, and placed light kisses along the length of her neck, letting my right hand slide down to cup her ass. God how I had wanted this to happen since I first saw her again. She felt so good against me, and I didn't want it to end. But Eve must have had other plans, and gently pushed me away from her. At first I was confused, until I saw her smile. She kissed me quickly and motioned with her finger for me to follow her. She led me over to the bed and pushed me back on it. Then like a cat, the slowly stalked her way up to my face, leaving kisses up my body. My skin screamed for her touch, and it made me quiver.

There was no place she wanted to be more than where she was, that is the truth and always had been. Even through all of their past problems she never stopped loving Devon. He always remained in her thoughts and now she was here with him after all this time. Eve continued to kiss up his body savoring every moment she could. The soft flesh of her breast tickled his thighs as she kissed his stomach and then his bruised ribs. She wanted to kiss away all of his pain. Her delicate hand brushed over the sore area as she climbed further up his body. Her lips trailed his chest as she straddled him. Her long blond hair dripped tiny droplets of water over his skin, making things more wet between them. Her left hand entwined in his hair as she settled herself on top of him. Her softness pressed up against him and he moaned as he reached up and grabbed her about the shoulders. Eve grimaced as he squeezed the temporarily forgotten wound on her shoulder.
“I am sorry, love.” He whispered to her seeing the pain. She shushed him and kissed him fully on the mouth once more. This time he was more careful and grabbed her hips to help steady her as she centered herself making it easier for him to enter her. Soon they both forgot all their physical pain and only relished in the pleasure they felt in each other’s arms. It had been so long since either of them had felt such passion. Their bodies moved in rhythm with each other as they tenderly kissed and explored each other’s body.
Devon grabbed Eve and gently rolled her over. He kissed her neck as he pushed her still wet hair from her face. “I love you,” he said in a breathy tone. “I have always loved you from the moment I first laid eyes on you. I am so sorry I hurt you.”
A small tear slid from the corner of her eye as she pushed his face into her neck once more. She did not want to him to see her tears. She whispered softly, “I know and I love you.”
Their pace picked up and she wrapped her legs about his waist and locking them behind him. Her nails dug into the tender flesh of his back and she arched her body towards him. Tiny moans escaped her lips and Devon only kissed them away...

As she moaned and arched into me, I slid my right hand underneath her back to hold her close. Our bodies moved in unison. My lips found hers, almost as if they were never meant to be apart. My tongue parted her lips, and twirled around hers as I thrusted depp into her wet fold. Beads of sweat had started to form along my back and forehead, slowly trailing down the sides of my face. And I moaned loudly as her nails opened up the skin on my back. I could feel the sting of the sweat as in found it's way into the cuts and mixed with my blood. It made me slide myself deeper into her with a little bit more strength then I had been using. My body remembered her, and hers remembered mine, causing us to give ourselves to each other completely. Giving in to our own desires. I leaned down and whispered in her ear, letting my breath wash over her skin.

"God I've been waiting for this for so long."

Her hand grabbed at my hair and pulled my face to meert hers in another kiss full of passion. Each thrust bringing us closer to an explosion, not just of our fluids, but of our hearts. My breathing became laboured as I got closer and I tangled my fingers in hers and held her hands tightly, kissing her more fully then before as I gave everything to her and came in unison with her. I eased myself down and rested my head on her shoulder, trying to catch my breath. I could feel her heart beating with mine, and the gentle touch of her fingertips as she trailed them along my back. The pain from the scratch marks forgotten, the only thing that mattered to me was the feel of her skin against mine. It was the same with the first time we were together. Actually, it was the first time for both of us. My focus up until I had met her was on Wesker and my vengence for what he did to my father. The first time I saw her was at the academy. She had distracted me, and it got me in trouble with the instructors. Later on that day, she approached me and introduced herself. I knew her families name. My father had made sure I knew. She was a Redfield. An important name in our line of business. And her father was a respected official for the resistance. Eve, intrigued me, and it wasn't long before we were seeing each other. I remember the first time I met her father, and told him my name. He smiled, patted my shoulder and had told me that he was proud that his daughter had met some one with my family's history. It was no secret that during the Raccoon City incident that Leon Kennedy, and Claire Redfield were the ones who thwarted The Umbrella Corp.'s plans for the viruses. I had never been more happy. It was 6 months before we were first together. It was Eve's 18th birthday, and I had taken her out to a nice dinner. She was the most stunning woman in the entire joint. I was the luckiest man in the whole damned place, and everyone stopped to watch her when she walked in on my arm. My breathing slowed and I rolled off of Eve and pulled her over to lay against my chest. I gently stroked her hair, and gently kissed her forehead. My voice was calm.

"You know, before Egypt, I wanted to marry you. I still want to marry you Eve. If you'd have me."
